I love tulip shots like this. The very center looks to me just a bit soft. Where did you focus? Did you try focusing in different places? This kind of advice I need to follow far more often. |

The detail & texture of the right side of the image is wonderful. It really would be better without the hot spots -- I know this is difficult to impossible to achieve sometimes. |

I love how the flower is framed and the image is well composed. The separation of the center is just a bit off -- moving every so slightly would have taken care of that problem. |

I love bark, too. You chose an interesting section -- what if you had included more on the right? Did you shoot several shoots including different parts of the bark?
I find that with Olympus the image stabilization is so good -- even with a relatively heavy lens -- that you don't have to shoot as fast as 100 sec. See how slow you can shoot & stay in focus. That way you could stop down. |
