A winning smile, indeed. The snake tattoo is interesting and works well to lead my eye right to her face, where that beautiful smile is not just on her lips but also in her eyes. I also like how her earring leads my eye back down to the rest of the photo. Great composition and lighting. It's hard to imagine that you were surrounded by other photographers with an image as personal looking as this.

I really like this photo, Marcela. I think the crop from landscape to this makes it really work. The change in colors from the deep blue early morning sky at the top to the warm rising sun provide good color contrast and variation. I'm sorry you don't have this tree to look upon any longer. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Hi Stan,
Wow, this is incredible! I'm glad you included the original. It's amazing to me what you achieved here. Your finished photo is stunning. The composition and lighting are great and I don't know much about Topaz, but you've insired me to go learn more. Thanks for including some information about your workflow.

Hi Harriet,
I wish I had Natasha's will to get out of the gate in the mornings. :)
I really like the sharpness of the whiskers and how her eyes are in focus and the wildness of her mane.
The only thing I'd change with this would be to crop out or clone the things that show in the very top in the left and right corners.

Thanks for the follow-up photo of the fishing boats, John. A crop of the sky so that last week's blue boat better competes with the lift for highest thing in the picture might be an interesting edit. |
