Hi Marcela - I agree with the others about the cropping. The lighting makes this so interesting. The ribbons of yellows and greys in the sky and the highlights on top of the cattle.

Hi Stan,
I enjoy it as is too! It makes me think and want to ask questions. It makes me wonder: why the Chicago Bulls hat - Is he a Bulls fan? Does he even know who the Bulls are? What's in the bucket? Why is he dressed pretty well yet selling donkeys? Was he really sleeping or did he see you coming and fake it? Also, did you buy a donkey? Did he make them himself?
The composition, colors, angles and contrasts are great and keep bringing me back to the boy and make me keep asking myself more questions.

Hi Harriet,
I like the processing here and think the painterly quality you gave this photo works well.
The composition is good too. I kike how that fencing goes off to the right and the amount of space you left behind the tree that's on the left, behind the mill.

P.S. I don't know what an Old English Babydoll Sheep is, but do hope to see one in a future picture. :) |

Hi John,
The monochrome works terrifically here. I don't think you'd be able to pull off the same drama with a bright blue background.
I like the light to dark / bottom to top gradient supplied by the sky and the shadow on the face of the first-in-line to hold the boat.
