Wow, Carroll! I love how the mist or fog surrounds the mountains and is settled in the one crater. I knew nothing about Java (besides the computer programming language and the slang for coffee) and your interesting picture made me look it up and learn. Thanks.
You've got great tones here and the contrast in the mountains is fantastic.

Hi Marcela,
Great detail and sharpness on this photo. Finding the ducks in the shady spot makes the noontime shooting less of a factor for sure. I agree with John and Harriet about the crop of the top. Maybe just darkening it a bit would make a crop unneeded.

Hi Norm,
I like the crop on this and how the water is softened by the long shutter speed. The only thing I'd change is editing out the two leaves that show in the bottom center.

HI Stan,
This photo is a peaceful one and makes me want to get out on the water and do some paddling myself. I like the reflection, fog, and ripples in the water. They all lend themselves to telling the story that I'm imagining when I view this.

Hi Harriet,
I like how you warmed this up and gave it a old time feel by adding the texture. This picture makes me smile as it looks like your horse happy to wait by the fence for you to take her picture.

Hi John,
I like the composition and how my eye can travel from the main building over to the hill where the other buildings are. I agree with the others about monochrome working well here.
