Yes, that is a good idea! I also filled in the center black area with a stamp tool. Thank you. |

I agree this is an interesting and good portrait shot. Why is it a good one? The subject is in an unusual position, their hair is covering just enough of the face to make the viewer curious for more; and the s of the hair are beautiful IMHO. The area for improvement is the upper left corner seems blown out, and as Becca noted, there is a horizontal line. I would recommend trying to work on the background, bringing some of the color to that upper left or replacing it entirely. |

There is a calm and peaceful feeling to this photo. Excellent leading lines of the buoys out to the waves of the ocean. A very nice reflection line leading out to the sailboat. I think the tone of blue is perfectly calming. I am wondering about the specks in the water in the lower right corner? Are those tips of rocks or is that something that happened in processing? |

I get the awesomeness of this coming through a car window, but is that tendril really a leg or is the bird pooping? I'd remove it since it doesn't add much to the photo. |

I agree with Becca, it is a postcard shot. You could have sold it to the owners for marketing. Good work on getting the building straight when it was built on a slope. Very sharp, clear and a nice sky with clouds too. |

Very cool to get a glimpse of China. Also cool that OM camera was your choice and you were able to bring it along. This clearly is a night shot, and you handled it well - I am curious what ISO you were using? I like the graduated skyline. Nice job correcting the keystoning. It seems part of the Chinese culture to decorate their skyscrapers in light show designs. How fun! |

I appreciate the eye of the photographer to see the potential images in the photo. I am currently reading a trilogy of fantasy similiar to Tolkien and there are monsters in the deep that have been frozen here. Pareidolia reigns. You handled the ice challenges well, with good light and processing. Well done. |

I agree with Karl, the far background detracts from the subject of the pod. In addition to the crop that Karl suggests, which eliminates the top and sides, I would suggest a vignetter to help focus on the seed pod. I also appreciate the reflection of the pod on the ice. A very interesting subject and there must be a story behind how that pod got there. I do hope your fish and turtles survive! |
