27 Oct 25 Comment So how do you deal with the slight blur cast and white parts of the image?

Oct 26th
27 Oct 25 Comment Thanks for the comments. My monitor has been calibrated, and I don't see the blue cast. I will fiddle with the hue slider and see it that changes it. The monochrome/infrared version turns out to be really busy; so I preferred the color. Oct 14th
27 Oct 25 Comment Hi, welcome. I think the colors are too saturated, but that is up to the maker. I would also recommend lightening the foreground -if you use Lightroom, try the mask feature for foreground and then the shadows slider. The blue of the sky is a bit artificial looking. Lovely sunset. I don't see the black bird? Oct 6th
27 Oct 25 Comment What a find! It looks like it belongs in Mexico or Portugal. I am impressed that your windshield didn't add reflection from the glass...or did you control that somehow? Oct 6th
27 Oct 25 Comment Haystack Rock is on Cannon Beach in Oregon. So sorry I missed you both Henry and I were at the PSA Portland conference too!

I think you could increase a bit the saturation and hue of the sunrise without making it look artificial.

27 Oct 25 Comment That bird is definitely "Hangin' in there". Great shot, I like the pose, and the background has nice texture. Oct 6th
27 Oct 25 Reply Thanks Brad. Yes, my OM-1 has neutral density filters in camera. I need to remember that!

27 Oct 25 Comment Nice perspective. I hope you are enjoying your lighter equipment, and welcome to OM systems - I switched for the same reason. Of course, you add on bigger lenses, and it gets heavier. This shot is very sharp, and it gives you a sense of time, of the progress and changes in architecture. Well done! Oct 6th

35 Oct 25 Comment You can certainly do anything in infrared, but if you are going to use it, I'd like to see why. This is a typical shot of a flying bird, but I could have done this without infrared. Can you explain the benefit? Or are you just experimenting? The head of the bird is a bit blown out and is that another bird off the wing that Debbie thought was grass? Oct 6th
35 Oct 25 Comment An interesting story. Very moody photo, and I wonder about the other side of the grave, does it have writing? It might help tell the story. Oct 6th
35 Oct 25 Comment It is a fascinating house, and ironic with the sign "white house" upside down. The original doesn't have that sign?
I am torn about wanting to see the house up close and the details. I think cropping in might be the answer, although losing that sign is sad. It has a motorcycle!

35 Oct 25 Comment I like the composition that has the eye sweep from left to right following the shoreline. The log in the foreground points you back to the trees. Not knowing what used to be there, it doesn't show devastation as much as you described. Maybe the tree...but I am used to seeing the roots of trees like that near water. A "before' and "after" shot next to each other might tell the story. Oct 6th

79 Oct 25 Reply I also like your interpretation and angle!

79 Oct 25 Comment Well done composite, and thanks for the tip about remembering to take photos for later use. I also think the colors are a bit too vibrant. Oct 22nd
79 Oct 25 Comment That is definitely a burned wolf's head, its frantic eye highlighted as it is running in fear from the fire. What is pareidolia again? Ha. Oct 6th
79 Oct 25 Comment This reminds me of Brooks Jensen's series from Fort Worden where the paint was peeling off on cement walls and grafitti seemed like heiroglyphs. He presented some of that at the PSA conference. You have a great imagination to see a creature with sunglasses! It would be fun to see this change over time, and you could create a whole series on it. See Jensen's work: https://www.brooksjensenarts.com/index2.html and scroll down to Wakasimarisen. Oct 6th
