Thanks Jan. Good eye, I snapped a line in LR, and it is off by 1/8th of an inch! |

You have found the gold weeping willows. I like the leading lines of the water in the background, draped with the weeping willow branches. I am bothered by the tree in the forefront, and wonder if a different perspective by moving to the right or left would have allowed for the shape of all three trees. |

Ha,ha. Good eye! Love the title, and the scene. Nice photojournalism. I would love to know what the sign on the guitar says. It must have been cold, since the musician is bundled up, and his hands are red. There is a story here with the contrast to the very tall black statue? Is that a statue? |

Very cool historical shot that tells a story. It looks like the materials they mined became the materials for their homes. This photo has a very nice range of tones in monochrome. The trees in the background give a sharp detail. The edges of the stones in the dilapidated walls are also detailed. I wonder if this was inhabited by several families or just one? Well done. |

He doesn't look as happy as the kids that might get those balls! This is a good street photo, very sharp and clear. I like all of the colors, and even the man's expression. Most of the time it is not acceptable to remove items from a street photojournalism shot, but the square object above his head is a bit distracting and is from the background. If you are not concerned about competition I would remove that in PS with content aware or generative fill. |

Hi Brad, this is a beautiful panoramic image. I'd like to know the name of the plugin for astro images? We are taking a workshop on night photography in the Palouse soon. It is really a challenge to work with the light pollution from cities. If it wasn't for the lovely arch of the Milky Way, I'd suggest cropping on the left to get rid of the white light. Can you tone it down? I would also suggest removing the red spot near there. |

Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate the suggestions, and Ian I will look into de-contrasting the sand...I think cropping as you point out looks like a pano, but isn't very versatile for printing. Actually, it is mud not sand... |

What a fun car; this makes me think it was ready to go on the beach, with those wide back tires. You did a very nice job of processing; I can't find any indication of things that have been removed. I also think you are managing your monochrome tones very well. I want a ride!! |

Wow, you note the 24 hour light soon. In Seattle area we have sunset now about 9:30 pm, and it takes getting used to it. What an interesting camera too. This is a very nice landscape. I see however that you might have dust spots in the sky. They appear as dark circles. You can correct the photo in Photoshop or Lightroom to remove them. Using a blower on your camera sensor will also clean them from future photos. |

Interesting building, a mausoleum? I just asked Ian to darken his image, and here I am thinking this one needs more light. I know a cemetery probably calls for a somber mood, but the lines of this architecture are beautiful/ I would try a mask in Lightroom for the structure and maybe the tree in the forefront and lighten it up a bit. |

Thank you for showing us the front of the courthouse! I appreciate it. The light when this was taken must have been bright; I would suggest darkening it a bit and bringing up the contrast. I'm not of the opinion that infrared has to be very dark, but this photo needs a bit more. |

I appreciate the high key tones in the photo. It does invite the viewer to create their own ideas of what they would like to do with a "blank canvas". Perhaps the person on the right is imagining that...why would she stare at a blank wall otherwise?
Karl, I don't think that is a security guard. It is a woman with black pants and white shirt with a purse, and she is sitting in a chair. It does make me think of contrasts in the photo - the woman standing vs. sitting; the side wall vs centered blank presentation. I really like the creativity of this image and prefer it over the previous month's. |

This image would produce sound if that were possible - the drums and cymbals are vibrant and really cool. The contrast with the green curtain implies a performance or rehearsal' it add more context and some mystery about the shadow. Very creative use of existing light! |

Well, the judges should consider FUN as worthy. I really like this image. There are so many young people going through emotional and physical transitions, I bet this would be a hot sale item. No pun intended. You did a great job with the thermal camera, I've never heard of it before. I shoot infrared, but I guess this would be the far range of that. My husband says this is what they use for finding people from helicopters. |
