Hi Jon, I used exposure bracketing - 2 under, 1 normal, and 2 above then they combine in my camera to give the best exposure. It helps capture the range of light. It is sort of like doing HDR. My OM-1 camera does it automatically.

Thanks Becca. The horizon is level, but as I mentioned it was hazy. I could crop up from the bottom and a bit on the side, I'll try that. I am discovering exposure bracketing is like HDR - 2 under, 2 over and one at 0 exposure; my camera has a setting for it. |

A great silhouette and commentary on our phone dependent culture.I like the blurred background. A nit pick is the upper left corner has two white fingers coming down - probably a brush stroke or two. I would remove them. |

At first I didn't understand what I was looking at until it became a person. The ship looks like it is floating in the air, and I think the idea of the person in the water dreaming must be a good title for the image. |

What a cutie. He is perfectly placed, and sharp. Your 400 lens did a great job; you caught the bird in a perfect pose. |

Amazing action shot with well done technical aspects. The colors and energy of the cows coming at the viewer is perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. My daughter saw camel races in Kenya, I guess you use what you have for a sporting event. |

Wow what a catch! I assume that the blur around the jet is the supersonic part. Nice shot of an F18. I appreciate your daughter's service. |

Very fun. I love picnics, and this is a fun panorama. Have you tried the transform area of lightroom to eliminate the curve? This feels a bit like being in a bowl; and it is possible to straighten out the lake and surrounding curve of land. I think you also have a choice when you create the pano; or is that Photoshop? Anyway, try playing around with the Transform section of lightroom. |

I wish I could visit! This is lovely. I am not sure what the subject of the photo is, since you have amazing clouds. One thought is to crop it differently so that the opposite side of land is not exactly in the middle of the horizon. I'm not sure how to do that, I think it depends on how much clouds or land is the subject. |

No, it isn't too much. I think you handled the color IR very well. A shack like that will have a history, and the color helps me think of many stories that it could have held. What or who lived there? How many years ago? What a nice introduction to a little bit of fantasy and possibly history. |

It is fascinating to me that a stark image like this is actually very attractive to many people. Nice perspective, good eye for seeing this. Not my style, but it is definitely popular. |

It is an old adage to photographers: don't forget to look up. In this case, it paid off. You have nicely framed the cloud, and the trees are nice and lacy from the IR effect. Simple but very pleasant thought of the cloud drifting by. |

OK so I tried a new preset in Nik Software, Color Efex Pro (I know, this is black and white, but it still worked). I used Detail Extractor. I also removed the leaves, and straightened the stem on the 3rd flower. Then I cropped a bit up and added to the side in photoshop. I like the difference. What do you think? |
