Hi Tatu, I suppose in Finland you might not have heard of Seafair. It is a celebration in the summer around Seattle, Washington USA in August. It focuses on nautical themes, boating parade, parades in different neighborhoods for adults and children, hydroplane races, aeronautical jets flying overhead and "Seafair Pirates" an organization of people that dress up as pirates, decorate their boats, enter parades and generally used to terrorize children, but actually hand out candy. It is very fun. This was on one of their sailboats. I think they compete for decorations in the boat parade. |

Thanks Ian, I caught that after processing; and tried to lighten it a bit, but it was tricky! |

Fascinating portrait. I have heard but not seen that tattoos are much more clear in infrared. This is a great example. How fun! Why does she have a halo around her head that is lighter? |

Very dramatic clouds and a lot going on in the photo. If you wanted the boat to be more the subject, I would crop up the foreground and left side. Really interesting barge (boat) so maybe if you darkened the foreground and lightened the background the contrast would give the barge more detail. |

Nice, peaceful shot with a good reflection in the water. I think if you want us to notice the bench and dock I would crop up the foreground and in from the left side. |

I like this image, however it bothers me that the chair is blocking the door. I know you can't go back to reshoot it, so that is that. Nice shadows, cool subject. |

Thanks Peter. I did enter her in a photojournalism competition and she is singing away in the Western Washington State Fair International Competition. We will see what the judges think, if she makes it into the show! |

Thanks Freddie. Since you could hear her down the block singing arias, it was magical! |

Yes, I will remove the vignetter, which now seems to be too strong if I enter it in a photojournalism contest. |

Thanks Judith, I didn't notice the my reflection in the window! I was wearing a blue shirt. Should I blur that? |

I like the gold bubbles...very nice. How did it taste? Did you think of the song? I think this is a very nice blend of tones and colors. |

Well, yes, the goose is overcooked, but could be tasty. I'd keep the tone of the red to the same reflection. The pink is too hot pink. |

A really nice improvement in your processing. Last time I saw the rock it was a boulder...now a pebble? |

Very creative, I like the colors. It might be a great pattern for fabric. |

Very cool. My husband Henry has been experimenting with crystals, and using two polarizers on a microscope slide. He had some fascinating results. This reminds me of melting ice cream (perhaps it is the hot weather) but unique textures. Very fun! |
