The background does have some distracting spots. The flower could use some tonal brushwork on the white areas. |

Very fun. His mustache is slightly askew, which is what I think of steam punk. |

I have a friend that freezes in her pyrex flat pan leaves, berries and flowers, then photographs then on a light table. Just another fun idea. |

This is a Thai fence, you can tell from the tops of the colunms. I like the downward ramp, it gives a reason for the fence. I also appreciate the tree since it provides a frame across the top of the photo. |

Ian, check out Derrick Story and his class on infrared. He will present the options - and there are many - for processing. |

Beautiful sluice, waterwheel and possibly a grainery? I would be tempted to ask to see if there is a grinding stone inside.
Very well done. You really pulled the image out of the original well. |

Sorry my comments are late. I agree that the image needs lightening. Are you using Lightroom? There is a new feature for masking that can select the sky, or foreground or subject. I would consider using that to have control over those areas instead of the entire photo.
You can snap a horizon line under the crop tool, and aspect. Draw the line and hold onto the shift key.
I know that the house might be on a hill, but most viewers will think you tilted the photo!
