Wow, as a gardener I am impressed. Nice leading lines, and the water is beautiful. I like the framing of the tree, you have a strong composition. |

Interesting history, thank you for sharing that. I think the vignette is too dark and could be graduated more. It does lend the photo to an historical look or style, as if it was taken in film.
If you have the option of control points or a brush, try darkening the building that is in the midst of trees. I think a contrast would help there. Also, the poles are leaning to the left. This might be the effect of the super-wide lens. |

I like the spookiness of the shack; the tree to the left is twisted and adds to the shot. I dislike borders in general and I find this one distracting; maybe a black border, but it isn't really needed. I also like the original. You might try the foreground a bit darker with a brush; overall it seems to need the contrast, like Nelson suggested. |

Interesting you can do this with a phone. I would suggest darkening the grass on either side of the path, it seems too uniformly bright. Or the reverse, but you said that the path was lightened? |

Hmmm...what a fun image to look for faces inside of faces...and textures within textures! |

I like this version best. It is more simple, and the bird and piling is less centered. I think more clouds in the photo would crown the bird; the lines now lead the eye into the fog and the horizon is higher. |

What a great story, as long as Dante's nose. How fun to capture an illustration that included tripe and wine! I'm late coming into the comments, but I'd like to see what Karl is suggesting, albeit the pavement is part of the story so don't crop too much off. |

Congratulations on saving yourself, tripod, camera and all. I can only imagine the anxiety produced, and relief to find the camera intact, never mind all the bones in your body.
This is a wonderful shot with lots of textures and light. I particularly like the sunrise in the puddle. Lovely.

Judith, I think I like the tree with the gravity pulling down. I am fascinated by the graphic art quality of this image. I also appreciate learning what kind of tree it is - I recently photographed one on a walk but didn't know what it was! |

Yes, the ball was about four feet deep and wide. I also focus stacked the image in my camera, so that might have helped with the perception of depth. |

Thanks Karl. It really was a glass ball with mirrors inside it that I stuck my camera down into and took a focus stacked photo. Granted it started with a piece of sculpture art, but it was my idea to photograph the inside of it and to do it in that way.
