If you look closely, you can see the plume of fire above the basket. |

Debbie, I did a slideshow/video of Palouse barns shots I collected for the last ten years - some are gone now. It won an 3rd place award in the Northwest Council of Camera Clubs. See: https://vimeo.com/883791428. Tongue in cheek the music is "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms"! |

Considering all the comments above, I had the same thought, that the original with colors in infrared might be a better option. |

Well, it seems the group has done IR in a phone, which is new to me. What a lovely tree, and it has floating leaves in the sky since you flipped the reflected image on the water. Very creative, and I like the contrasts! |

The slightly blurred lake gives this a dreamy kind of feeling. I might prefer it lightened a bit as the photo has a very dark edge and I am not sure where it begins. There is almost an intentional camera movement effect with how soft the overall image becomes when converted to monochrome. |

I like the sky in this photo, and the loneliness of the building; I get the "nowhere" feeling. You got low and that is a good perspective. Just a nit pick but the flower or plant that is in the lower right corner is pulling my attention away from the shack. You could darken it or remove it and that might improve the impact. |

Old barns are one of my favorite topics, and I have done a slideshow recently of the ones in the Palouse. This one has definitely down to the ribs of the structure and lost in the wheat or grass. You said that you burned the foreground slightly; I would increase that since it could balance the photo more. Interesting to see that this is from a phone I didn't realize you could do IR on it! |

This image looks devilish all by itself, but not Little Red Riding Hood. You certainly had fun~ and I am wondering if the stars in her eyes are too sharp; not evil but fun... there might be a better foggy background than the wood panelling? I think you have created a better story here that Little Red. She was originally convinced by the wolf to take her clothes off, throw them in the fire and get in bed with the wolf...who eats her. (Perrault). Here you have baked apples...hmmm...needs some more mystery, and a little less twinkle stars. |

Well done! Never would have thought the cars were there. I also am impressed with your success at getting to be 'dreamy" which gives it a sense of past history. I'm not too sure about that lamppost - does it hold a candle or electric light? |

Yep. Non conformist and abstract with a very nice purple hue. I like the lines and shapes, your eye has caught the strength of the frames...rectangles and the fun cartoon image. |

Your leaf is on fire! Or wabi-sabi is hot. Anyway, this is a captivating image and I really enjoy the flaming yellows and oranges. Sorry, I'm confusing wasabi which is that green horseradish you get with sushi...I really like the white outlines on the leaf. |

Hi Judith, I skipped over to group 52 to see what they got too. I think this is lovely, and the tree in group 52 impressive. I wonder not only about the exposure increase, but using intentional camera movement (ICM) as a layer behind the tree or grasses? I must say I like the tree better, probably because there is less empty white space. My first impression was that this was a color infrared! What would it look like to use the original behind the image you have sharpened - to give the intentional motion of the grass? |
