Have you ever been to Vancouver B.C. and seen the Granville Island silos? Just wondering if you wanted to add to your collection. This is marvelous. You managed to get the eyes of the portraits, which is important. Great shot. |

We have two holly trees on our property, and every fall I wonder why they didn't have berries. Then one day I notice a large flock of robins descend on the trees - and strip the holly! Berries are very fall. I like your choice. I would take out the lower right corner branch. |

What they said. I wonder if a Gaussian blur on the background and the crop that Brad suggested might work to emphasize the cattails? |

I love the Cotswolds, we had a chance to visit some friends living near there. This is a classic image. "Border Patrol" the grasses at the bottom. Instead of replacing the sky I would lighten that one dark cloud or spot. |

I love the softness of this image. A neutral density filter would have smoothed out the water more, and possibly you could play around with filters to achieve that in post. |

Nah, don't flip it. The boat is sailing left to right, that is how our Western brains read! |

So sorry I haven't commented yet. I have a nasty cold. So for the future, it is possible to take a series of photos and eliminate the people by using a photoshop function. I like the fact you took this during the blue hour; and the mood that it evokes. |

I don't think it is the blue sky reflection. I moved the tint slider in Lightroom to more red and orange. Thanks for pointing out the color of the water. I will try to correct that, maybe with white balance? |

Renee,
My Olympus OMD Em1 Mark 3 camera has a built in density filter setting. I think this was set on EV 2, which is two stops exposure compensation, a combination of ISO and f stop will slow and smooth the water during a long exposure. A 10 would be very dark; my camera only goes to 5. 10 is pretty extreme. |

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I think I will crop, highlight and backlight - in other words, play around some more! |

Sorry to reply so late, it has been a crazy month. The triangle is formed by the central three ends of the plants. |

Yes in Seattle we love the Blue Angels, usually for our Seafair Parade. My husband used to work in a skyscraper downtown and had access to the roof; he has sold many times a shot with the Space Needle behind them. You have a worthy shot here, I have never seen them in IR. I think the details are more prominent! |

Hi Debbie, sorry I am so late this month has been crazy. So I think the white foliage has lost detail in your processing. I agree with Stuart that you could crop it in at the diagonal from the lower left corner. This would allow the focus on the nicely textured building. |

Yep, I agree with the group, the clouds need more light. Maybe just a touch with the curves adjustment layer. Great catch. |

I'm spoiled. In the Pacific Northwest, this is such a common scene. You did a great job with the post processing, and kudos for that. I appreciate the different textures that IR has brought out. |

This reminds me of Encaustic photographs. It seems to raise the colors off the paper or metal. |

Hi Karl, thanks for your comments. My guess is that horizontal rock area gives the viewer a clue as to what it is; if I wanted to go into the abstract interpretation I should take it out? I will give it a try! |

Well, you had a lot of fun! I love the bold colors and texture of this image. Wow what a difference from the original - you did play around with the colors! Nice rainbow effect. |

Voila, very nice high key. Thanks for sharing how you did it. I love the muted blend of purple, pink and blue tones. Very well done, nice blending. One picky thing is I see where the stem is, but what is off the tips of the bottom longest petals? Maybe other stems? I'd remove them. |

Ouch. Get well soon! You know you are a photographer when you can't wait to get out of surgery and end up with photos like this. How much you want to bet you could sell this, there is a doctor somewhere that wants it. My only comment is the highlights are a bit bright. |
