I agree this needs cropping, but I think the building is a SaniCan and so would eliminate that too. |

Interesting combination of images, and you captured the look on the woman's face perfectly. I think the broken background works with both pro and con viewpoints and sends a definite message. |

Nice capture, although I am curious if you found the orchids! I appreciate the motion in the background with feather shapes in the green. |

Good for you for working on a 2014 photo! I have found that Lightroom will allow you to update old photos. In regards tot he background, have you considered masking the car, and blurring the background more? |

Thanks everyone for your comments. I will work on the plaques, and consider brightening them. I thought that if your read the memorial information, it becomes clear that they are about those that died in concentration camps. I guess that the purpose of making people aware of Edith Stein - in my photo was accomplished. The shoes by the way are part of the statue, and if you have been to the Holocaust Museum, it has the real shoes that were left outside the crematorium. Thanks for the feedback! |

A very calm image that is highlighted in all the tones by the infrared. A nice composition with an S curve with the water. What is the white upper-middle right objects? They seem man-made and distract from the pastoral nature of the photo. I'd suggest you take it out of the image. |

Well done. I think in this case the details of the rock and the contrasting foliage make the image pop. I'd work on a little bit darker in the foreground, the middle bush seems a bit blown out. |

I find this intriguing because the trail to me disappears in your processed version. I think the original in color is better than the monochrome because the white overwhelms the trail, which is what the eye wants to follow. You lose the leading lines in the monochrome. Why not work with the original, and work on the sky? |

Karl, I think of all the suggestions, I like this crop and ideas. The butterfly has a bit of orange in it, so I wanted that in the background flowers too. Also, I can frame a 10x8 crop easily. |

Wow thanks everyone! Who would have thought a little butterfly would gather so many opinions and discussions! I appreciate all the feedback, and will try a few of the ideas. Just got back from a two day trip to Mt. St. Helens and have a mountain to process of photos. |

Thanks Karl. I will try this, but am wondering what dimensions I will end up with for the finished photo. I could also take a bit off the right side, but if I move in the left side I am cropping off the yellow flowers. What would you suggest? |

Love it! It is indeed Strawberry in color too, like a glass of strawberry wine. So sorry for the sacrifice ending in mosquito bites, but I think it was worth it. Thanks for sharing how you got that reflection so perfectly. Put this one in a portfolio! |

I agree with Karl. I would add the same bur vignette on the left side of the rose for balance. |

I know very little about Scully, but I find it fascinating that it inspired you. This made me think of cavemen or of sidewalk chalk. Either way, you have an interesting image. The repeating cracks are an interesting pattern horizontally and the colors going vertically add dimension. |

Great choice on the vintage look. I wonder it you could help it more by getting rid of the construction tape? Also when I looked at 100% view it was very pixalated; perhaps running it through the noise reduction software would help (although I know you want a grainy effect, the sky is also grainy). |
