We are planning to be in the Palouse the last week of May! Here is a good link with places to see: https://www.photohound.co/guide/palouse/photo-spots

I'm curious about your title, is that the name of the farm or town? I think there is an artist cooperative inside the barn, with arts and crafts - all kinds of booths with different things. |

Yee-Haw! The first time we tried to photograph a rodeo we were lucky to find a small one in the country. They are held outdoors and in the daytime. Check those out first! What a fun story for this kid, and you get the family in the background with two brothers and a phone photo Dad. |

Lovely orchid, nice shot. I would "feather" your vignette, which is too strong. Have you experimented with focus stacking? It would have made that front petal sharp as the back of the orchid's throat. Another option for the vignette is to reverse the slider and use a white vignette. |

I agree Becca, keep the sign. What a great shot, and you cropped it exactly to the subject. Very fun! |

Grenfell? Is this the Dahmen Barn Wheel Fence? We have visited there many times. I am not seeing the vignette. It is fun to shoot through the wheels and frame things. Nice framing. I'm not sure it works to iaolate the silo. |

Good choice. It is always interesting to go back an update new processing. I agree with Becca about cropping in from the left. The sunburst is centered, I'd experiment with cropping it maybe both sides to move the sunburst over to the right. |

Do you think if I lightened the dark triangle on the left it might help?

Congratulations!! I think you have greatly improved the image and it was worth the effert from the competition feedback! I remember this image, I think. The tree is growing up through the car, correct? Such an apt title... |

This is a very interesting rendition of the sculpture. I am more fond of the original than the monochrome. I think the monochrome has a dark shadow under her nose, which mars her beauty. I'd try and remove it or lighten it in Photoshop. I think the white trees in the original give it a heavenly soft cloud feeling and if this is found in a cemetery, might be very appropriate. |

Very nice textures and monochrome was a good choice. I love what infrared does to plants. The upper left darker corner could be balanced out more as a vignette on the other corners; or lightened. I am enjoying this photo as your comment about looking down reminds me to be more aware of what is around my feet in Spring. |

I am glad that you had fun! This hardly looks infrared to me, but I do enjoy that reflection in the water and the lovely S curve of the shoreline. Red converted to blue makes the sky tinged purple on my screen, and the soft colors. Today is the 19th of the month, and I don't see comments from anyone, so I am hoping our group will wake up! |

Wow I am impressed with your smoke photography. I don't quite follow why the room feels like you are falling down unless the smoke is something more than incense? Anyway, great job getting the ghosts to come walking over the city! The one on the right lower looks like a parrot! |

That is really different from the original, you have redeemed it into stunning colors. I would suggest more contrast, less bright white. Try the curves layer in Photoshop and play with the adjustments on colors. |

Wonderful balance of composition, and the subtle texture of using the wood for a background was an excellent choice. |

I wonder if the birds flipped so that the eye in our Western World reads right to left at the 45 degree angle would add more dynamic? I agree with Judith that they do seem overly processed, so it depends if you want them to look natural or not. Right now they seem kind of plastic. Part of it might be the line that makes it an artificial matte. Wonderful capture of the birds together! |

You have taken a mundane photo and turned it into a fun abstract. I like the texture, colors and the shadows. At first I was wondering if the leaves on the shadow were distracting, but then I decided they add depth. It looks like you are having fun with the new camera and lens!! |
