Wow now I want to go to Australia. This is amazing. Part of the challenge in night shots is finding a good foreground, and I love this. I find nothing to change, and thank you for sharing, it is really well done. |

Beautiful curves levels :)...can I get away with that? Wonderful shot of the culture and local art. I wonder if the hat evolved to be covered with fabric! Nicely done. |

It is great to catch the details on cars that are rusty like this. My husband and I have a whole series on hood ornaments. I have never seen this before, perhaps a detail that was added by the owner? I like the contrast of old and the symbol of flames for fast. I am wondering why the color of purple in the rust? Was that the color of the car? Very interesting and fun. |

This is an amazing shot, and all the more precious since they are really clamping down on sight seeing whale business. I've been out several times on the boats, and getting a shot like this is difficult. Congrats. I'd find a way to use it for conservation. |

Well, I'll take the 10k lens, but this is very nice Christmas present. Thanks! |

Thanks Valerie. Here is an attempt at a Gaussian blur background, and I think I like it. Thanks, everyone for the suggestions! Happy New Year! |

Karl, how would you soften the background? Photoshop a selection then add a gaussian blur? |

Hi Marie, neither. Swans and geese, herons, have this behavior to dry out their wings, sort of like when dogs shake to get the wet off. It was raining at the time. |

Great catch, and I love the bird. I like the idea of color added, as it becomes even more interesting. Very fun! |

Very fun image, and makes me want to get out to see the gardens that are lit up. We had a wonderful display at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, but I was there for my grandkids and not photography - so I understand not bringing your camera. Where did you find a gold frame that is so pretty like that? I mean a digital frame - the ones I have seen are not shiny gold. |

Very fun. I hope you are enjoying the Christmas season, despite the restrictions due to COVID. Have you played with the apps for kaleidoscope type images? |

I am fascinated with your process, and would like to learn more. I can only comment that the sky and water look like there is a reflection, but the separation between the two is so fine that I am confused. Actually, I like the drama of the original too, and wonder what the monochrome of the finished product looks like...with the bird? |

Love your immortalizing the recycling of this...I thought of a gold statue of a greek god...Athena perhaps, since the hair is long coming down the right side. How fun! I have kept old mylar around to do reflective backdrops, and you are inspiring me to dig that out...also gold wrapping paper from Christmas gifts! |

Thanks Sandra. The stereotype for swans is pure white, but these were mucking in the mud. I was standing on the other side of the road, they were in a field less than 50 feet away. |
