You used a very creative approach to wildlife, and ignored the PSA rules! That is fine with me. The boca on the background is wonderful. Under the focused duck there are three dark splotches; I'd suggest you clone stamp up some green instead. It also looks like you added to the space in front of the duck by moving it back to the left. This actually centers the focused duck in the center of the photo. Try adding to the frame on the right side some space - in Photoshop extend the crop and fill with content aware. This would move the subject back and give it space to fly into. Enough room for the length of the duck would help. Reminds me of teaching my kids how to drive - leave a car length between you and the next car! |

Becca, thanks for taking the time to try out my suggestion. To me, this photo changes the subject of the story from the horse to the location, the people and where the cart is going. I'd work on the midtones and darken the sky and parts of the street that are too bright. But it is your photo, and so your decision what you want to do with it. |

Isn't he pretty?! Reminds me of the iguana that decided to park on a bed in Costa Rica - the guest came screaming out of the room! I think this image needs to be lightened a bit. The dark background is great, but the animal's detail would really pop if the animal was lighter. |

The details in this is fascinating - someone spent a lot of time getting every branch detail to have lights! Great catch! On the branch on the right there is a black blotch. which makes the branch look disconnected. You could repair that in Photoshop with the stamp tool. Very fun image. |

Clearly from the title you want the subject of the photo to be the colt. I think you have done a good job with that. I see another interesting subject in the photo - the horse drawn cart itself. It might be interesting to try this cropped behind the riders, so they have heads, and then convert it to monochrome. I think the silhouette of the horse is very nice, and the color of the riders distracting, so I'd try it in monochrome too. With two images of the horse (shadow and reality) the riders in the cart if not in color should balance the subject. Wow, I love the idea of going to Egypt! |

This is a beautiful image landscape, and I love the effect of the filters on the water. Coming from the Pacific Northwest,I am used to filters on moving water. I never thought about the effect on a canal. I love the tones of the buildings reflected in the water. The blues in the sky could be brought out a bit more, the color information is in the vignette of the sky. The image is crisp and has a strong leading line that takes the eye back into the photo. Great composition and technical choices. |

The colors in this are so stunning. Good job with the silhouette and the texture of the water. Fascinating to me what you can do with an I phone. |

This photo is full of interesting texture and has a story. I'm not sure it would be street photography for the reflection of the window, but I think there is a story in the man's reflection. He looks like a ghost!
I'm not sure about the title The Watcher, because who is watching whom? |

What an adventure in Photoshop. It is amazing when an idea takes hold, and you obviously were patient enough to pursue it! I think you achieved some interesting ideas. Hmm...a skeleton thinking of a skeleton...what do skeletons dream?
I like the image inside the crystal, it appears three dimensional, and is well done. The skeleton in the crystal appears to be speaking into Yorick's ear. What fun discoveries this photo generates! |
