81 Jan 20 Reply To get a real soft background I always use a wide focus opening (here f4.0) giving a very narrow depth of field (8 cm in this case), this makes that parts of the picture not in the focal plane starts to be soft, my goal is always have the model's eye (here a bird) tac sharp. Jan 6th
