To get a real soft background I always use a wide focus opening (here f4.0) giving a very narrow depth of field (8 cm in this case), this makes that parts of the picture not in the focal plane starts to be soft, my goal is always have the model's eye (here a bird) tac sharp. |

Very nice picture of a Bumblebee, very sharp - missing the shallow depth of field common in macro's, very beautiful famous Fuji colours. Fantastic shot. |
