I agree with all that Cindy has said but, as well as their hair colour and texture blending together, I find the lines of their faces so close are also beautifully complementary. I do agree that some more detail in the mom's left eye would nail it. Lovely! |

I agree - you have done an excellent job converting this image to BW, bringing out the detail in the walls and the stairs. Even the lighting, although it could be toned down a little IMHO, does not overwhelm. Just a small detail but I like the way you have included the lower end of the railing, leading our eye upward and into the frame. I actually like your inclusion of the two at the top but would like to see a little more detail in the darks/shadows (and, as Cindy suggested, perhaps the two in a slightly different position, if possible?) |

Such a beautiful, technically well-rendered portrait! Lovely sharp detail and texture in the horses' coats and manes. The soft, darker and uncluttered background allows us to focus right in on the animals. You have captured a "decisive moment" - the way their noses touch and the look in their eyes elicits such emotion. Outstanding! |

I really like this, especially the BW. I am impressed by the way you have turned the colour version (using an effective crop and selective light and shadow areas) into a fine art portrait. The look on her face adds just a touch of humour. Well done! |
