Chuck, I love this shot - well seen and captured! I, too, find the cars at the top of the frame distracting. Cloning them out, as Cindy suggested, (PS content aware fill?) would be preferable to cropping which would take out some of those interesting reflections in the main subject. Conveys a great story - a fun image! |

Cindy, you always find such interesting, textured (grungy, in a good way) scenes to capture. Your tonal variation is well handled - even the bright light coming in through the windows isn't blown out and provides perfect illumination across the frame. Excellent detail and variation in the textures creates interest. The dark at the top of the stairs evokes a sense of mystery - what's up there? |

James, I have to agree with Cindy about preferring the colour version of this image. I like your long exposure capture of the water and the detail you have brought out in the rocks in the BW but the colours, to me, give a greater sense of detail and depth. Beautiful soft light at 7 am! |

Paul, I think the monochrome is much more interesting than the colour version of this image, especially with your more panoramic crop. On my screen, it looks like your grey scale could include a little more black but Cindy's edit looks a bit too dark to me (it could be my screen). Nice work and great find! |
