Chuck, you often submit such interesting, quirky images. Yes, great detail on the hand but I agree with Cindy that the background is a bit busy. I wonder how this would turn out if shot in portrait mode (2x) on your iPhone? |

Oh wow - awesome capture on your cell phone - beautiful (yummy) hues in the colour but also great "grungy" post-processing texture and tones in the BW conversion. What an amazing place! |

Mary Ann, yes, I like the figures on the beach in silhouette and the misty look of the horizon over the water. I always find sunny sky highlights a challenge - difficult to find ways to tone them down without things looking a bit "fake". I, too, think Cindy's solution of cropping is the ticket although it feels just a little too closed in at the top for me. A lovely beach capture, in any case. |

Thanks, Mary Ann. I am working on a very old computer with an old version of PS that has limited AI capabilities (I will upgrade once I get a new device). But looking forward to playing around as per your suggestions. |

Paul, looks almost like he is smiling at you. I like both versions but prefer the blurrier look of the background in the BW. To me, the area most clearly in focus is the feet (are they called feet in raptors?), the talons, and the mid-breast area (presumably all in the same vertical plane). A compelling capture. |
