Paul, like both Chuck and Cindy, I prefer the monochrome of this image and agree with their suggestion of a more open crop. I find the spots and the reflection of the trees in the window quite distracting and think Cindy's suggestion of cropping about halfway down the frame would take care of some of that. I think the shadows on the pitcher add interest. |

James, a great shot! I love the "in your face" wide angle capture, the grungy texture of particularly the front fender and bumper and the lettering on the door. Good tonal range with good detail in the darker areas. I agree that a little more room on the right to include all of the truck bed would add to the image. |

Cindy, a beautiful nature scene. You have achieved excellent tonal range with lots of detail in the darker areas and lovely light on the falls. 1/6 sec exposure has yielded just the right amount of blur in the water (imho). |

Chuck, I agree with Cindy's comments about positioning of the subjects - your arrangement is a bit too formal for my taste. However, a fun, quirky shot with lots of small details to grab our attention. What about also setting the minions up to look like several of them are interacting with one another? - just a thought. |

Mary Ann, I like the simplicity of your crop. To me, the fact that you have positioned the subject and his shadow in the lower left corner with lots of negative space in the frame adds interest and a unique quality to the image. Nice texture on his shirt and in his hair that perhaps could be brought out even more in post. For me, the story/intrigue here is about "what is a jump master and where is he headed?" |
