The B&W image is lovely and misty scenery is attractive. But I like the composition of the original image more, may be because odd numbers looks better, or because the elements on the left side carry more weight as compared with the right side. I agree with Jose that cropping from the top may help. |

A great image putting the old and new buildings from this perspective. I assume the tourist bus was moving when you took the photo, judging from the fast shutter speed applied. Converted to monochrome is a good choice and helps to emphasize the outline of the architecture. My only suggestion is to darken the new building a bit so to make the new building stands out more. |

A pretty and compelling image. The colors and tonality create good contrast. The leaves on the top of the flower direct the eye to concentrate on the subject. I have pondered how to improve the composition by cropping or extending the field of view, especially, where to position the stem at the top, from where the flower arises. I think the stem should be included, otherwise the flower will appear to come from nowhere. |

Certainly this is a strange image in the abstract and surreal realm. From your original image I can say that the arc on the right side is another tiny ghost looking at a book. I tend to like the original image a bit more. Anyway, so long you feel it contains aesthetic elements, there is no requirement for abstract image to carry meaning or be properly interpreted? |

This photo looks great in black and white. The musician's facial expression is eye catching. To me darkening of the guitarist at the back is good enough and I do not mind any cropping from the top or not. |

Hi Bob, I agree with Kirsti that the third flower shows a beautiful display of shape and vibrance. As the light is coming from the left hand side, the third flower is in shade whereas the 2nd flower has more highlight. You have successfully apply a good balance of the colors. Another good element is that you have improved the background, which looks flat and artificial in the original image. |
