To me Bob's version improves the composition further. Regarding the colors, I like a cooler coloration at the background whereas the foreground can have a warmer tone but this is personal taste. I can see the boy and the dog in your final version but they are quite faint in the B&W version. A nice image showing the appropriate mood. |

This is a great shot, (I should say 2), showing details of the highlight and the shadows. Your combined image is beautiful. Bob's version is more contrasty. I like both. As others have mentioned, the foreground and background are well balanced and nothing needs to be changed. |

B&W image creates a timeless feeling, and for this decaying Blacksmith shop, you have effectively brought out the texture and contrast of the wooden structure of the shop. It is interesting that the tree behind the shop has no leaves, in contrast to the one at the right side of the image. |

I am impressed by the way you adjust the colors, contrast and texture, especially for the leaves, which appear flat on the original image. The photo looks more vibrant after post processing. Removing the defect of the leaf is a matter of personal taste, and I think nature is like that and I would let it stay. |

I like the B&W version too. The lines, different shades of grey and the 2 persons at the convergency point make it an interesting image to look at. Although if the 2 persons are absent, the photo will appear more abstract, I prefer they that they are there. |
