You were very fortunate to be in a prime location with almost ideal conditions. Your image is tack sharp and that boat in the background adds to the scene. Great job. |

I really like the interaction with the parent and the chicks. The problem as I see it is composition and lighting. I would definitely crop the right side and create a vertical composition. Next, I would use the masking tools in Photoshop and lighten the chick in shadows. The masking tools are incredibly useful, and I would encourage everyone to learn and use them. Obviously they can't be used on Nature subject in PSA exhibitions. |

The choice of black and white was a great decision. The contrast and punch makes this image. I agree that some of the grasses can and should be removed. |

I hope your recovery goes quick and easy. A couple of years ago I judged a PSA portfolio of iris flowers. They were all shot using focus stacking and had incredible results. You have done well with your new camera. I like Issac's suggestion of reducing the brightness. Have you considered using Topaz Photo AI? It does incredible things on images such as sharpening and noise reduction. |

That certainly is a knockout picture. Everything is spot on. It's sharp, well exposed and you've captured the peak of the action. I I were to make any improvements, I would crop tighter. |

Our iPhones have become an extension of our creativity and photography along with the ability to process our photos instantly. I like what you have done with this image except for the cropped bottom. My eye was drawn to the group leader in the foreground but the cropped version created mergers. Would you consider using the Remove Tool to enhance the image? Is it PJ? |

Yeah, I thought that it was out of place. You never know what you're gonna find. Thanks |

I like how the river takes my eyes into the background. Your overall process looks good. I'm a big proponent of darkening the edges of my images. I think this one would benefit from it. The trick is to be subtle enough that you can't see it. |

Nice composition and placement of the barn. I would consider some added work on the sky. You might consider pulling some of the yellow out of the grasses too. |

Welcome to our group. WOW, switching from flowers to HDR. I love the bold colors of your image and the placement of the stripes at the bottom. I'm not sure about the mergers at the bottom left. |

It's definitely green. I might consider selecting the car and adding background blur in post. Perhaps brighten the car slightly. |

Nice perspective and your process worked well. Unfortunately the weather wasn't cooperating. I'd like to see some additional work on the sky to bring out any details. |

Thank you Rick. I seem to have found a niche for architectural photography. I guess working in the architectural design and construction field helps. I wish I could find the time to really get into luminosity masking. Any objections to the blue window or doors? |
