I like the composition and the placement of the two characters. Your use of flash was very well executed and the exposure was outstanding. Personally, I might have cropped this image tighter and straightened the lines of the bricks in the background. That must have been a great experience. I took the liberty of processing your image on my iPhone using SnapSeed. I cropped tighter, straightened the lines of bricks and added a vignette.

Shooting in these difficult conditions is challenging. I too agree that some of the background information would have been better served in this image. A longer lens would also have been better. |

The diagonal lead-in created by the bright line of light adds depth to the scene. Shot with a Lumix G9 and a wide-angle lens, the image showcases your technical proficiency. Post-processing in ON1 RAW, including lens corrections, noise reduction, and selective adjustments, brings out the details and enhances the dramatic lighting. The monochromatic treatment and increased contrast further intensify the mood, culminating in a visually striking composition. Great work! |

It sounds like an unforgettable moment in the Everglades National Park with an unexpected visitor! Your choice of equipment, including the Nikon D800 and Nikkor lens, along with your settings, demonstrates a thoughtful approach to capturing landscape images with the right balance of exposure settings. Utilizing Lightroom for post-processing, especially local adjustments with masking brushes, allows for precise control over enhancing specific areas of the image while maintaining its overall integrity. Cropping further refined the composition to highlight the main subject. It sounds like you had a fantastic field trip experience! |

Attending the Ft. Myers Cracker Day Rodeo with your Canon R5 and RF 100-500mm lens must have been an exciting experience, especially for your first rodeo! Your settings demonstrate a good balance between shutter speed, aperture, and ISO to capture fast-paced action while minimizing noise. Utilizing Topaz AI Clear and LR DeNoise for noise reduction shows a thoughtful approach to post-processing, and removing distractions in Photoshop helps to enhance the focus on the main subject. Adding a vignette in LR Classic is a nice final touch to draw attention to the center of the image. |

Your setup with the Olympus OM1 and the 300mm f/4 lens sounds like a great combination for capturing bird photography. It's impressive that you were able to achieve such a high shutter speed of 1/3200th of a second while shooting handheld. Your post-processing adjustments to enhance feather definition and cropping for composition show attention to detail. |

Guy, I already have a black and white picture ready for next month. It's a close up of the concrete tower and cables. |

Hi Vella, Yes, each country has their own work teams. The scale of this project is huge. On the US side there are major interstate connections. On the Canadian side there will be a direct connection to the Ontario 401 highway.

I have a confession to make. These are the first images shot with my new camera. I had the camera set on P. Isn't that for Perfect? 😆|

Were you attempting to create an HDR image from a single exposure? My initial reaction is that the result is a bit overexposed and contrasty. You might want to try a tighter crop to strengthen your composition. |

The scene exudes a sense of tranquility and harmony, inviting one to immerse oneself in the beauty of nature's gentle embrace. While the overall image is somewhat flat the mountains and sky seem to draw the viewer's eye away from the river. You might try a tighter crop and eliminate them and focus on the river. |

I believe that your overall processing has created some wonderful textures and an amazing scene. My initial reaction was that the real center of interest is the rock formation and the sky is secondary and not necessarily needed. You might consider a tighter crop to accentuate the rock wave as you noted. |

I can see why you're not happy with the results. It doesn't seem to have that smooth feeling we've seen with your images. Could this be one image that HDR doesn't help? |

The overall rendition has been well done and it appears natural. I'm not a fan of the cloud movement. Is the keystone effect the result of the architect or the camera? |

I like how all the diagonal lines lead your eyes to the jet exhaust. I think the overall rendition looks great. The clouds are well done. |
