4 Jan 22 Comment A clever composition and composite. The colors look right. I'm not sold on the angle of the mast. I would prefer a greater angle. Also, a subtle map in the background could have added to the overall story. Jan 18th

4 Jan 22 Comment It's almost impossible to come away from the Venice Rookery without some excellent images. Your patience paid off in waiting for the bird to tend to her nest. Everything is well done. Sharp, excellent exposure, lighting and color. Jan 18th
4 Jan 22 Comment I like Isaac's horizontal idea. It seems to have a good flow in the sense that we read last to right. The monochrome does add to the image with greater impact than the color version. Jan 18th

4 Jan 22 Comment Quite a striking and dramatic image. The one dead tree being the brightest serves as a center of interest. I like the harsh contrast. Well done with enough detail in the tree on the right side. Jan 18th

4 Jan 22 Comment Nice image. The pose definitely is quite interesting. Personally I would have preferred a stronger rim lighting on the left side of the model. Her buttocks blend with the base of the image. Jan 18th

4 Jan 22 Comment Nice capture with the focus being on the dominant bird. The shallow depth of field doesn't bother me, in fact it enhances the image. Jan 18th
4 Jan 22 Reply Thank Ian. Congratulations on your recent PT image and award. The Fox Theater in Detroit was one of many that were built in the 1920's. The architecture is quite unique. Art Deco with a blend of Burmese, Indian, Persian, Chinese, and Hindu motifs. I may post a picture of the ceiling next month. Here's a link to Wikipedia:

4 Jan 22 Reply Isaac, I've been a long time fan of Mannheim Steamroller. Chip Davis goes back to the days of musical group doing backup for C W McCall and the recording Convoy. We've been to at least four of his concerts. He did a benefit concert following the forest fires in Yellowstone. Jan 2nd

44 Jan 22 Comment Great capture. The process seems right and it appears natural. While serving as en example of how nature can survive it also has an artistic feeling. Jan 18th
44 Jan 22 Comment I believe the image is a bit busy. There's a conflict between the model and the potted plants in the foreground. The overall image appears somewhat flat yet the lighting on the model says otherwise. Jan 18th
44 Jan 22 Comment Rick you did a masterful job. Your process has brought out every detail and nuance of the fall color. This is a great candidate for a metallic print. Jan 18th
44 Jan 22 Comment An outstanding capture with a great sense of realism. The teachers name is a nice touch and grabs your attention. The only negative comment is that the window areas don't look right. I've faced similar issues and it's tough getting a natural appearance. Jan 18th
44 Jan 22 Comment I like the overall composition. I believe your processing was just right although I may have preferred the shadows to be opened up just slightly. Jan 18th
