I guess I'm the last one to comment ton this image. I had to look at it for quite some time to fully appreciate the painted mural. There were a couple of things that came to my mind when viewing it. 1. The image perspective can be corrected in Photoshop. 2. The artist painted the mural in such a fashion that the foreground appears to be underexposed but is not. 3. The light pole in the foreground doesn't match the shadows or is this an illusion the artist painted into the mural. 4. I would crop the white building on the left side. It's a distraction.
I took the liberty of making some adjustments in addition to the perspective corrections. I also opened the image in Camera Raw Filter and clicked on Auto. There were some subtle changes made.

I wish I could have joined you on that little adventure. It's been a while since I have been able to spend more than one day in the Smokies. I think everything about this image is outstanding. The color, sharpness and composition are great. My only objection is that the bears paws have been cut off. Perhaps a tighter crop would create a portrait type image. |

Although this image may appear busy there is some semblance to order. Your post work defiantly helped the final product. My eye is drawn to the large door which serves as a center of interest. I would be inclined to crop the left side and eliminate the two windows and brick of a dissimilar color. |

The layers are interesting as they allow your eye to wander throughout the image. Although this style image may not be salon material it does, in my opinion, create a feeling of calm and solitude. The color range is very restful. |

That must be one challenging subject to photograph. Your image is tack sharp and the colors are brilliant. |

Outstanding image. Your patience and post processing has paid off. As others have commented, I too felt it was somewhat bright. Perhaps a half to full stop would make the colors appear more lively. |

Great shot Max! Anyone who's been to the Tetons can recognize to location. I like your composition and camera view, it's not the typical Oxbow Bend that we're used to seeing. Your overall process is outstanding. |

I'll have to take note of the Blacktail Overlook. Everything works in this image except for the contrast on the mountains. IMHO, they seem somewhat weak. Could a Luminosity mask improve their appearance?
I recently had my 7D converted to IR and yesterday I had a 30 minute tutorial from LifePixel. They introduced me to the free Canon software, Digital Photo Professional. The canon software brought out information Adobe Camera Raw couldn't see. I'm curious if the Canon Software could pull out any more data? Just a thought. |

Very cool composition. All those leading lines working in harmony. This is one of those compositions where you can let your creative juices flow. Personally I would try enhancing the sky. |
