I think you have a wonderful capture. The exposure is right on. One thing about our group is everyone's interpretation of our images and composition. I do not object to the muted flowers in the background. It tells me there are other flowers in this patch. My interpretation is somewhat different because of my crop and subject placement. The musted flowers in the background are secondary to the main subbjet and support it. I also would use a grey stroke in lieu of a white one. See my interpretation. |

I like the concept of this capture however I believe it needs some serious pop! As I sat looking at this image I tried to analyze what was bothering me. I attempted some modifications in Photoshop using Topaz filters and NIK Color Effects Pro. Then It hit me. The bright blue area in the upper left appears washed out and lacks detail. My recommendation would be to go back to the original RAW file and see if some detail and color could be rescued.

My eye is take to the small fern because it is the brightest area of the image. Personally I would crop the hell out of this and accentuate to fern and use the curve to enhance the image. See my interpretation with a tight crop and darkened surrounding areas. |

Definetly an attention getter. Good composition. I question if it could stand a little more contrast or pop.The red shoes seem muddy. |

Thank you. I chose this particular composition to place the end opening and person in the strongest compositional position. I also thought that all the diagonal lines went towards a central vanishing point. |

When I first did it I said Holy Crap. When you move the object you can also change the size of it. |

I nice capture with good colors. You did have a terrific sky. I recently read an article about composition and how to objects placed diagonally in a scene do wonders for overall balance. My main concern is that the tree in the foreground is almost directly below the rock formation. Placing the tree in a different location and diagonal to the rock would enhance to composition. I you can't change the tree location you can always use Photoshop Content Aware Move. |

My first impression was the lack of sharpness where needed. I also detect a blue cast. Added warmth would no doubt increase the color of the truck. |

After watching your webinar last week I'm looking at everyday objects differently. Although the overall image has made good use of the process I'm seeing a composition in the doors only. I see a couple of eyes and a lot of teeth.
Thanks again for your webinar. |

A few years ago I passed up the opportunity to go to White Pocket with Erik Rosengren and Lynn Thompson. A decision I have regretted. Needless to say it's now at the top of my Bucket List.
I like your composition and your process is outstanding. Looking at Rick's comments about the dark cracks I found the clarity slider helped. I also added a warming filter 50% to enhance the warmth of the sunset. |
