I saw something in this scene that grabbed my attention. The sunlight seemed to hit just a portion of the waterfall. I opened the image in Photoshop CC RAW and tried the Auto setting. I also pushed the clarity and Vibrance a little bit to add to contrast. Then, using the target adjustment tool I selected the bright area of the waterfall with a circular selection and darken the surrounding areas to enhance the sun's spotlight effect. I hope you like the changes. |

My immediate reaction was that the image although was interesting it lacked some Pop. I opened the image in Luminar 2018 (I recently installed on Erik's computer) and applied the Basic Tone Compression. I then applied the AI Sky Enhancer.
As I sit and view these structures I see faces. Does anyone else or is it my meds? The second floor windows are the eyes and the doors are the mouths. |

Nice idea and background story. Upon careful examination of the image, before I read your here's how, I realized there was a human figure in there. Jon Fishback's analysis is probably true. It takes a talented judge to appreciate any contemporary or creative photograph. I think of someone in our club that once said, "I want a tree to look like a tree." He was not a good judge! It's refreshing to see creative work and have some background on how it was done for everyone's benefit. |

Well Mr. Stairs Master, you've captured a beauty. The strong diagonal creates an abstract appearance. I could resist adding some Clarity and Dehaze to add some punch. I also added some edge darkening to reduce some bright areas at the top and bottom. |

A beautiful landscape and waterfall. All images I have seen of this scene have been on cloudy days. Yours is perfect. The Aurora software does an amazing job with HDR images. My only Nit would be to darken the left edge to draw the viewers attention on the water and not the rocks. |

My immediate reaction to this image was two items seemed to jump out at me. One, the overall image seemed flat and muddy and two the vertical stacks were not vertical and parallel. The image has some possibilities and the repetition of the stacks adds to the subject interest. I tried adding some punch in NIK Color Efx and straightened the stacks. One other thought would have been the use of a polarizer to add some in camera pop. |

You captured a pleasing composition. All of your described techniques have enhanced the scene. Nice job. |

Nice capture. The sky and rainbow look natural. Personally, I would like to darken the sky somewhat and also tone down the dried grasses in the middle. I detect some strange artifacts on the left side. Did you try to clone something out? |

Almost a Fibonacci spiral. One can't go wrong with that composition. It's frustrating at times trying to process and correct problems. You did a good job with what you had and everything has a natural appearance. The subsequent discussions about noise reduction is interesting. |

Nice composition. That's the kind of location where one can sit and watch the ever the ever changing scene. The process seems to work well. I'm not that bothered by the reflection. What does concern me is the bright area of the clouds in the upper left. The highlights appear to be a bit blown out. Out of curiosity I opened this image in Photoshop CC 2019 and applied "Auto" in camera RAW. All I'll say is that it's an interesting interpretation. |

The clouds have a lot of detail and the surrounding landscape and rainbow add to the overall scene. Although this particular scene does no have a wide contrast range, I wonder if the same could have been achieved with a single exposure. |
