Fascinating image. Your description adds to the story. I hope you were able to take many pictures of this scene. I can see many compositions along with "zooming in closer" to capture the clock face and the activity of the two men. |

Another great image from Gator Land. Anyone who hasn't been there to photograph birds is missing out on great opportunities. As my southern friend Carole Hagamann, FPSA would say, "It's like being a blind dog in a meat house." You can't miss. Your image is sharp and crisp and the background does not distract. Well done. |

I agree on the tranquility of the scene. The placement of the two structures in the lower right add enough foreground interest. What does bother me is the blown out areas of the sky. They're pulling my attention away from the area of interest. I used a large brush and cloned in a replacement area in the sky to eliminate the bright area. I've never tried this before but I think it works. |

A nice composition and the choice of black and white has added impact. I agree with Isaac's suggestion of toning down the brightness. I also think a reduction of contrast would help too. I would be inclined to crop off the area on the left as it is an area of brightness that detracts from the central area. |

An interesting perspective to an iconic location. Being an Indiana Jones fan I can appreciate the view. I'm going to disagree on the added contrast. What I do question is the blue tint in the shadows on the rocks. It's a condition similar to my image this month. Too blue or not too blue? |

You change of sky was well done and does not look fake. The small clouds do not detract from the impact of the overall image which by the way is very nice. The expanse of the boat serves as (excuse the play on words) the anchor for the image. |

Hello Isaac, I thought about the blue shadows in the foreground and decided to let them go. The blue haze in the hills is natural look. Darned if ya do and darned if ya don't. I made a monochrome of this and gave a copy to my rheumatologist. He interned near Thurmond many years ago. He told me of a movie, "Matewan" that was filmed in the late 80's about the early days of the Coal Wars in West Virginia. My first appointment with him he asked about. Uckhannon, WV. I told him we were just thru there and when I showed him the monochrome picture on my IPhone he asked me to send it to him. While in his office he forwarded it to his two brothers, west coast residents, and his wife. They all had visited there years ago.

Excellent job of post work. The overall exposure, color and contrast has been well done. Your depth of field is well done and sharp throughout. |

A pleasing scene enhanced by an overcast day. I took the liberty of cropping some of the left side of the image. Also, contrary to added contrast I like the softness of this scene. I added to the softness by adding some negative clarity to the scene. I also pushed the reds and yellows to give them the added pop without contrast. |

For us seasoned citizens, I thought it was a TV test pattern. Great shot and your efforts were rewarded. Having tried other HDR programs I seem to fall back on the accuracy of Lightroom. Your image is tack sharp and the color and contrast are perfect. |

I envy these types of images with interesting interior details. You did a great job with the perspective control. The colors, contrast all go well and compliment the blue windows. My only nit would be the lack of shadow detail around the broom and adjacent wall. Just a touch more detail there would help complete the story. |

A nice composition. Your description of the necessary steps is quite helpful. Sometimes the average photographer does not appreciate the work we go through in our personal interpretations of what WE saw. The low angle and inclusion of the foreground rock adds interest. |
