Very nice job. A great eye and capture. I too shared your thoughts when viewing this image. The Gaussian blur worked well. There is another technique you might want to check out, it's the "Orton Effect." There are several examples on the internet. It's similar to what you have done. |

A good capture and the placement of the fisherman is in a strong position. I saw this image in a different manner. I cropped off the sky and straightened the water line (it was a bit off). I worked the image in Adobe Camera RAW and pushed the Dehaze slider just a bit for some pop. I also opened the image in NIK Viveza II and made a selection on the fisherman and lightened his shirt just slightly. My final step was some edge darkening (you know me, everything gets edge darkening) and I added a small gray stroke on the image. |

A good PJ shot. Having been in a related industry to construction you would be amazed at the topics of discussion on lunch hours (hunting, women, sports, women). I too thought that the wood rail was a distraction. I believe that could be controlled with a quick mask job. |

Great grab shot. This just proves that one must be aware of the picture possibilities in their surroundings. I may have cropped the bottom just slightly to eliminate the small dark triangle. I would also darken the background a bit more. Good job. |

Good catch. Everything works well together. The colors are very complementary and work well. My only objection is the piece of the structure is out of focus. |

Brings back memories of the Sixties. I had to laugh at everyones comments. What you have created is a very colorful Rorschach Test. The technique has worked well with a lot of imapact. Good subject. |

I really like your composition. The early morning light on the rocks is wonderful. I took the liberty of tinkering with your image. In Photoshop RAW I cut back the exposure slightly and then used some Dehaze. I then opened the image in NIK Viveza II (I love that software) and worked the sky area and added some structure to the rocks. I also tweaked the rock in the foreground just slightly with added structure. My final step was a slight darkening of the edges. This is one of those images one can work on and experiment. You did good. |

The overall image has been well done. The overall soft lighting helps with the textures. I may have experimented with additional one stop increments to get those areas in question properly exposed and then perhaps try masking those areas. Another thought would be to expose properly for the exterior areas and balance that with exposures for the bridge interior. |

STUNNING! All of your efforts paid off. I'm not bothered by the warm tones. They make the image pop. A job well done. The colors, exposure and saturation are perfect. My only NIT would be to have backed up just a bit to include the base of column on the left and the peak of the arch at the top on the image. |

I like your composition. The etched glass and the period wallpaper tell a wonderful story of days gone by. The HDR process has worked extremely well. The background area seems a bit soft. I may have tried some focus stacking for maximum sharpness. |

The composition as presented focuses on the boots and the wedding dress becomes secondary.I also note a variety of mixed lighting from daylight to tungsten. You process worked. I believe with some work in Lightroom and an Adjustment brush you could cool down the warm tones. My thought on composition would have been getting on a chair or short ladder and showing the wedding dress and the boots become secondary. |
