I see your point. Being a bit red-green colourblind does affect the mood I sense with this sort of colouration. |

It sounds like an interesting project. We still have fairly restrictive lockdown here in Australia (varies by state but in Victoria we are still expected to stay at home most of the time. |

I like the expression on the girl's face but she is looking intently at something outside the frame and that takes my eye out to the left, when it isn't being caught by the highlight on the hand behind her forehead. This is one of those times when taking a series of shots can be helpful. Hopefully one could find one with a cleaner background, and maybe one with a wider view showing the vendor or the action that has so taken the girl's attention. But then, the expression is what makes it, and that was probably a fleeting thing. Good effort. |

Well seen - the contrast between the tattooed man and the young girl makes the image. I wonder if this would be better in monochrome as colour adds little to the image. I've had a quick play in PS to convert to monochrome, and slightly darken and vignette the background to make the main subjects stand out more. Could probably make the girl a bit brighter too. What do you think? |

A potent image. From the perspective of Australia (with 4 deaths per 1 million population), the 242 deaths per million (and rising fast) in the USA is horrifying. The fact that there are protests such as this against the measures in place to minimise the climbing death rate leaves us wondering.
Great shot, thought I am not sure if I like the colour balance. Would a gritty B&W work for this image? |

Lovely capture of the woman and child, but I think the image would be stronger with a less distracting background. I had a quick play in PS using the lens blur filter - just a very quick selection and blur of the background (would need a more careful selection/mask to do it properly). What do you think? |

Thanks for the suggestion Lou. I had a play in PS, see my reply to Jill's comment. |

Hi Jill, Thanks for the suggestion. I had a play in PS to subdue the highlights in the hair. I also lightened the faces a little as Lou suggested. I think these edits improve the image. |
