Hi John, looks like a great place to go shooting! Shooting in the morning is a great choice as the exposure looks good no major loss of details in the highlights that would happen if you too the photo mid day. I was wondering what attracted you to this viewpoint? I keep wishing I could see the front of the bench and less of the boring forgoing. Have fun when you go back and take photos with many different viewpoints. |

Hi Damon, what a fun shot- this is a very difficult shot to get and you did a wonderful job. In my younger days we used to go to drag races - you've brought back many memories for me. I think you capture the focus and the necessary blur just right, to give a sense of movement and excitement. I like how the riders face and mask are not blurred. The closure is good you didn't blow out the whites. |

Hi Eric, I agree with Damon this is a strong image. I think what makes you think it's too busy is you have two competing subjects the boat and the building. You can stress the building by moving the point of Burmese to the left slightly instead only having the building take 50% of the image have it be 66%. I love how the graffiti artist stayed between the lines. |
