Thank you, Robert. I had two images accepted into the 14th Annual Joseph Miller Abstract Photography exhibit this year. The other one was the photo, "Worm Driver," that I submitted in our Digital Dialog in February 2025. |

It takes some time to understand abstract photography. It's all about shapes, colors and texture rather than recognizable subjects. It's very subjective! |

Thanks, Cindy. I wasn't sure I liked this image, but my wife did and encouraged me to submit it to the abstract photo exhibit. |

Ray, you captured a pleasing image of lungwort flowers. The sea of blue flowers in the lower half is nicely balanced with the two flowers in the upper left. Lots of interesting detail, too. |

You captured a nice cluster of pear tree flowers. The rainy day made the white flowers a little dull and gray, so might want to brighten them a little and possibly crop a little off the top to eliminate some of the sky. Excellent shot! |

A gannet flying back to its nest with a mouth full of nesting material, and a waiting gannet with its mouth open. What a perfect shot! What else can I say? You nailed it! |

Nice capture of the horse and rider going around a barrel. My only suggestion would be to crop a little off the sides and top to bring more attention to the main subjects. |

Another wonderful and well-processed orchid image! Your darkening the highlights and lighter leaves makes the purple orchids stand out beautifully from the rich green leaves. |

This is a lovely photo! I especially like how the dew drops on the web reflects and accentuates the spots on the caterpillar. The web, stem and leaf behind the caterpillar add strong diagonals to complement each other and give the image a sense of motion. If this photo were mine, I might slightly darken the blurred, background leaf at the bottom and the small, yellow patch on the lower right. |

Thanks for the tip, Dick! For this shot, I was trying to get even lighting, but I didn't realize how flat the image would look. |

Thanks, Barbara. I agree, the even lighting created a somewhat flat image. Not sure what I can do. Any suggestions? |

You captured all the intricate details of these columbine flowers beautifully! Great job focus stacking them, especially on a windy day. If I were to be a little picky, I might remove the yellow blur in the background and maybe clone out the yellowish bud to the right of the lower flower. |

Outstanding! What a beautiful, dreamy backlighting. The completely blurred background adds to the dreamy image, and the seeds (?) in the translucent leaves add a ton of interest. Perfection! |

Looks like you had the same idea as me this month...shoot tulips inside a studio environment. I like your selective focus on the front tulip details especially the water drops on the tulip petals. To me, this is the main image. I might crop out the tulips in the back, just leaving parts of them for context. |
