When I first looked at this image, I thought it was a selective-color image (orange and B&W) until I saw the brown bricks. The strong orange color against the naturally muted environment creates a very striking image! My only suggestion would be to make the color of the sky more consistent with the reflected gray color in the glass windows. |

I find bird photography to be so difficult because birds rarely stay still. You captured this woodpecker very well although I wish it were facing the camera a little more. |

This is a timeless portrait. It could have been taken just yesterday. Imagine...this young boy is now over 60 years old! |

Here it is. I also cloned out the letter "S." I think it works. |

Yes, there probably is too much truck. But, I'm wondering if cropping off the left side might be better because the man is looking to the right, and it will give him some space to look into. I'll give it a try. |

At first, I thought cropping off the bus wouldn't work because it would crop out the bikes on the right side. But, seeing your revised image, it looks fine! |

This is a lovely capture of an old town at twilight. I like the distant mountains enshrouded in mist. The yellow headlights nicely complements the bluish-cast environment. However, the image seems tilted to the left. |

Hi, Cindy. This is a wonderful fall scene of a European town. I like the diagonal composition of the bikes. But, I'm not keen on the yellow bus on the right side because it's color is so dominant. Also, there is something odd about the bus's front grill protruding into the street. It looks like a clone-job gone bad. |

Beautiful shot of a butterfly on flowers. The orange color of the butterfly nicely complements the purple flowers. I believe it is a Julia butterfly. The flower might be a sea lavender according to my iPhone app. I like how the butterfly is so prominent in the image. |

Thank you, Ester. Yes, the upper right corner is a bit distracting. I'll try blurring and darkening it. |

Thank you, Barbara. I guess you could say that I selectively focus-stacked on the yellow bud and dew drop. |

Thank you for your comments, Maria. When I went back and looked at the raw file, the black line was there. I don't know what it is, but I cloned it out. I also darkened the blurred bud to make it less distracting. I didn't want to eliminate it altogether. |

Hmm...I didn't notice the dark line until now. I'll have to go back to the TIFF image to see what happened. I purposely didn't mention the two aphids in the pictures to see if anyone noticed them. You have sharp eyes! Of course, I didn't know they were there when I took the shot. |

Thank you for sharing your secrets! Never heard of florist paint. I'll have to find some maybe at Michael's. |

The more I look at this image, the more I like it. The colors are so rich. The backlighting works well to emphasize the orange leaves that blends well with the background. Each of the tips of the three stems has a different surprise - one has rich texture, one has an interesting , and one has a tight bud. |

Beautiful shot! I really like the many layers of petals, all in sharp focus, and the nice soft bokeh of the background. The colors compliment each other with the pink flower jumping out from the image. |

Very clean and simple shot of a dogwood flower with everything in sharp focus. I like that you included some leaves and stem to give it context, and the leaves frame the flower nicely. I'm curious what you used for background because it's not just a black blackground. It looks very natural. |

I, too, am out almost every day looking for signs of spring to photograph. You caught these rhododendron buds just as they are opening with a nice splash of color. My suggestions would be to remove the reddish color cast and brighten the leaf on the right. There is some interesting detail (small white spots) in those leaves. |
