The red thing is a branch from the red flowers. If I had seen it, I probably would have removed it from the arrangement. I admit I'm not a very good flower arranger, and I was just playing around with flowers bought at the supermarket. However, I did just get some white calla lilies and they make much better subjects. |

Excellent bird-in-flight image. The eyes are sharp, good details in the feathers, nice simple background...what else can you ask for? |

Yes, you are absolutely correct. The white daisy is a little blown out. I locally reduced the highlights in the white daisy, and the subtle change definitely improves the image. |

A beautiful fireworks shot! I like the way you simplified the shot to frame only one building with two, similar exploding fireworks below. Definitely not your typical fireworks shot. The lights in the building are quite dramatic and nicely exposed to match the exposure and color of the fireworks. Very well done! |

A nice, sharp and contrasty image with good colors. I like the way you post processed the image to bring out the sharpness and textures. The sharpness of the fly feathers, however, seem to compete with the texture in the leaves. If you can shoot this again, you might try placing the flies on a simple black background. |

I really like this silhouette of tall grasses against the setting sun. A very moody feeling. Although I like the image as it is, I might try cloning out the brighter white clouds using Photoshop's spot healing brush to see if it gives the image more consistency. |

A beautiful landscape image with excellent post processing to bring out the colors. The full rock in the foreground adds interest, however, I would suggest cloning out the partial rock on the edge. You also might try brightening the mountain peak in the center-right to bring more attention to it. |

A pleasing portrait with simple black and white tones that allow the colors of the model's skin tones, eyes, lips and hair to stand out. The eyes appear sharp and in good focus. Having her head tilted gives the pose some interest. The texture in the wall is a little distracting though. Perhaps making a selection of the model in Photoshop and adding a some Gaussian blur to the wall might make her stand out. I took the liberty to make these changes and cropped the image a little to emphasize the model's face.
Edit: Actually, I might even crop it some more. |
