A beautiful city-scape image. I love the way the trail of red tail lights streak through the cool-blue image, leading the eye to the red sunset. |

I like your "before" image more than your edited one. The gull is in focus and is the main subject rather than the out-of-focus splashing water. But, to avoid placing the gull dead-center, I would suggest cropping out some of right-side including the tree and a little from the left as well, making a square image. |

I know I commented on this image earlier, but somehow my comment was deleted. I like the light painting effect as it gives the ghost town a surreal look. There might be too many objects in the image to really appreciate the light painting effect. But, the image does have nice contrast with good highlights, mid-tones and shadows. I took the liberty to crop the image to focus on the main tractor and part of the diagonal stairs. But, I think the real interest is in just the old wooden building structure. |

Not sure what I would do with this image. I think there might be too many mums with no particular center of interest. I probably would not have captured so many of them in a single image, but rather concentrated on just one or a few of them...perhaps a macro shot of the one with the white outer petals. The lighting is also a little harsh. A diffuser would go a long way to tame the harsh shadows and soften the highlights. |

A nice clean rural image! The colors are very pleasing. I like the complementary blue sky and orange-ish ground with the red truck and patches of green grass adding tints of different complementary colors. Nice composition with the roll of hay in the foreground, barn and truck in the mid-ground and trees and sky/clouds in the background. If I were to make any changes, I might try cropping a little moree off the right side to allow the taller silo to frame the right side of the image. |

Nice capture of a dragonfly. Usually, it's hard to get a sharp image when the dragonfly is sitting at the end of a branch or leaf because even the slightest wind will cause movement. Using 1/1000 sec shutter speed seemed to do the trick. You cropped the image quite a bit and, yet, retained a lot of detail. I was wondering why you cropped it as you did (cutting off the lower legs, tips of the wings and tail) and not leave the entire dragonfly in the image? If you left the dragonfly intact and even added some more of the branch below it, the image would include more bokeh instead of a solid patch of gray in the background. |
