A great capture! Patience, or luck, or both always pay off. I like the vertical composition, and the framing with the tree. As the others noted, perhaps a little less show n teh elephant, and some selective darkening. Well done! |

Richard,
We get these in our backyard, but since I work, I don't get as much time to sit out to capture them :-). I really like the image and was going to suggest bringing down the branch, which as I read comments, other suggested and you have a new image. I like the new one and would consider bringing down the one brighter spot on the branch, almost at the left edge. |

Larry,
First, May really got way from me with work and CV-19, so I didn't have a chance to post an image this month. For June I will be more in sync.
For me, the image is made with the bubbles. As you mentioned in one of the comments, capturing at 1/2000 exposes things that the eye does not see. Nice DOF control, although I agree that perhaps a tad more would have been good. I always think of a change once I get home and see it on a large monitor. Bgreat capture! |

Jason,
Yes, I agree with Richard, any capture of a moving object in macro is a winning day! The bee capture is excellent, and I like the composition. I do really like Larry's modifications. A much cleaner image. Really well done. |

Todd,
I like the concept of taking a piece of the waterfall and focusing on that. I do agree with the others that it seems over processed. With that said, I think that it is bold of you to step outside and try new things. This group is a perfect environment to get honest constructive feedback. |

Michael,
I really like the cropped image as it really does separate the lizard from the rest of the image. I actually like the purple as it contrasts nicely with the lizard. If it was green, or instance, I think that the lizard would be lost altogether. Well done! If anything, I wonder what it would look like with slightly less depth of field, maybe f6.3. But you only get so many chances when something live is in front of you. |
