Thanks for the feedback and suggestions! Interesting way to process, converting to B&W and then back to color. Is that so that you can see the tones easier? Also, I am familiar with a 500 rule, but the one I use is for taking night sky photos. It defines the longest you can shoot stars without star trails.

Thanks for the comments! Yes, so many ways I could go with this. I did not try B&W, so that is an interesting thought, I will try that.

Thanks for the comments. Yes, I did play with the sky a little but it did seem to detract from the feel I was shooting for.

A really nice action shot and I like the crop. For me, I think that you did a really good job in processing, getting the cats to stand out. As Larry suggested, perhaps a little clarity, and maybe a faster shutter and a little less DOF would help to enhance that further. Nice capture!

Wow, I am really impressed with the sharpness of that owl, especially with that crop, well done. And the lighting is really what makes this shot. As for the leaves in front, as Larry suggested, you could clone the ones on the right. For the ones in the center, that may be quite difficult, but perhaps you could darken them somewhat. I am with you on the alligators! Really well done photo.

What a beautiful photo and composition! The lighting is really spectacular, and I do love the "deep" feeling of that dark negative space. OK, I do have to ask this since I believe you shot this in FL :-). First, did you have hip waders on?? And second, being in FL, do you worry about alligators when in the water?

This is an interesting one. I like the high key version and the play between the hard wooden structures with the silhouettes of the birds. Perhaps a different crop may help my eyes focus on one subject I like Larry's version as it as it does allow me to really focus on the birds.

I love the texture on the water, and I think that you got the exposure time just right. Along with Larry, the partial bridge is distracting, and also bright, so it pulls my eyes. I took a quick edit on it as well, not cropping as tight as Larry's because I like the flow further up in the frame, and it feels like there is a little more breathing room. I then darkened the bridge rocks on the right, and a few other small areas, then cropped slightly on the left as there was a partial bright log. Not sure if you like this one, but I thought I would give it a shot.

I really like the B&W interpretation of this shot! I love the composition and the drama that is in teh clouds. I agree on the comments on the noise, I think that can be easily remedied.
