Madu,
Very nice capture! I agree with both Larry and Todd that in theory it would have been nice to capture at eye level and vertically, but certainly safety comes into play there :-). Very nice control of depth of field and on the processing side nice control control. |

Larry, Todd,
I really appreciate the feedback on my image and am very excited to be part of this group! First, on the technical side, Larry, I took a closer look and you were correct on the horizon. I just missed it. It was slightly off, around -.45. And when I really zoomed in, there is a slight softness, which is a little confusing to me. It really wasn't windy. I am wondering if I manually refocused as the evening went on and maybe took the focus point out too far. It could say that it adds to the dreamy feel of the image :-). I will check my others in the sequence to see if they are similar. I'm glad you both liked the composition. I sometimes struggle when shooting getting that correct in camera.
On Acadia in general, one of our favorite places to go, although, Todd, we spend quite a bit of time in CO both in summer and winter.

Larry,
Wow, a really nice image! Without you saying, I would have thought that this was taken with a 70mm or more. You must have been very close at 24mm. I liked that you decided not to include the horizon as this would have lost all the detail in the rocks. I also think you were spot on with the shutter speed as it provided a nice movement to the shot. And I would have never thought to bring a reflector on this, but it really worked! I would be interested in seeing what was a little to the left, and if that would add anything to the composition. Really nice capture and processing. |

Todd,
What an amazing animal and a great capture! As Larry mentioned, I like the contract of colors and texture between the moose, and I also like the light shades on his back. It really highlights him! Yes, I would like to see a little more space on the right, but that would take a little away from the portrait. This is definitely on my list of places to go! |

Michael,
First, it is good to "virtually" meet you! I really liked your choice of lenses when shooting this! It really does accentuate the relative size of the spider! A really tack sharp image and I like how you were able to pull the web out as far as detail. It provides a nice 3D effect. |
