This is a nice photo. i also agree about the focusing. It almost looks as though the image is focused on part of the front petal. I am unsure of the physical size of the flower but when I photograph bulbous flowers I will sometimes aim to focus on the stem or where the flower meets the stem to get the focus I want but that works for me about half the time. I usually have to wait a lot for that perfect moment of still air and lock my focus and then take a lot of photos to see what worked.
Overall I enjoyed the photo and I also think this one could lend itself well to a bnw photo with a vignette because of how well you have the background blurred. |

Such an interesting photo. The mite you found is probably the perfect subject for the photo as the red contrasts so well with the blues in the flower allowing him to pop out. I do agree that the bug is a bit blurry but I also think the reds in the bug help to some what sharpen the subject up and make them pop. I think that depending on the size that you would print the image and how you would frame it would help to counteract some of the blurriness by creating an illusion of higher focus. |

I think this is a beautiful image. I did find the black background a little distracting relative to the subject which I believe is just due to how the image interacts with my computer screen and lighting. I do wonder how a bnw version of the image would look and if that would smooth the transition, but I believe most of my issues are produced from my computer and would change if I printed it or looked at it from my phone. Great image and I love how you edited it. |

This is a great photo. The tone of the image changes a lot from colored to black and white. The subtle blues in the black and white really highlight the image and enhance it. Well done. |

This is a lovely photo. A perfect moment in time. Reading the comments it is a shame that the mother's tail wasn't ed at all to allow it to be kept in frame.
I love how the mother is looking directly at you and the baby has such a playful expression. Perfect photo would not change anything. |
