This is a really engaging photo. I love that the emu is on the road. It's a really different background. It also really stands out against the background to making a really clear shot. |

This is a lovely image. I think that the crop is really well done. I think that it really lends well to a vertical crop. I think that the yellow and green of the base really works well against the blues and purples of the sky. |

This is a very nice photo. I do agree with Mervyn that if we open the crop a bit by leaving a little space on the right it would make it feel a little less cramped and that if you open up the top a little then we can give it a bit more of a dynamic feel. |

This is a very lovely photo. I do agree with the others that the vertical line is a bit distracting. Beyond that, I don't see anything that I would try and change. I do also agree with Brenda that a black and white version of this might look really nice. I am unsure but that might also help to hide the vertical line. |

This is a truly amazing photo. I rarely photograph seeds and I rarely focus on them even though I mainly focus on flower photography. I love how clear the seeds are. Did you crop the image or did you photograph it this tightly?
For edits I don't think I would change anything, but I do think if I had photographed it I would have probably submitted the colored version but I think that both are great. Again this is a very lovely image. |

This is a lovely photo. The cropping is very nice and really helps to focus me on the subject. Beyond that the colors are great and the red eye really stands out against the green in the background and subject. I do agree with Brenda that if we wanted to really push the image then I would also try darkening the bright areas. |

I think that this is an interesting image. I do think that I am unsure of the two images together though. I think that possibly adding a border around each image separately might make presenting them as a pair might work at presenting them as a pair.

I think the image is overall very nice. The bee does appear to be the subject. The crop really does make the bee the focus based on framing. I think that Rich's photo really helps to draw focus to the bee. |

The original photo is a very lovely photo of a poppy. The white edges really stand out and your subject really stands strong against the purple and green of the background. I think that based on the original image there is not anything I would have altered in the image. Your edits are also very interesting. I did notice that the stem becomes hard to see against the background. I don't know of a way to edit the image to bring the stem into focus but I also don't think it would be necessary. I also think your original image would translate very well into a black and white image. |

This is a really nice photo and using the base of the flower is very interesting as I rarely see that as subject. I don't think I would change anything. |

The colors are very lovely. I do think that your final version is very nice and well done. The colors are strong and the flower is very clear. More than that I think that the background color you have really makes your flower stand out. |

Personally I would alter the intensity of the background vs flower or the other way around. As the original edit can look a little harsh at least for my eyes when looking at it through a screen. I also would say that if I was making the photo that I would try and push the flower further toward the blue purple color range and let the background be closer to a yellow green orange color range. Besides that the original photo looks very nice. |
