A wonderful subject and capture. A dual conversion (one bird one for the rest) with an HSL layer under the bird conversion to tune the interpretation of the reds can yield a little more differential in the feathers that gets lost in a straight conversion due to the similarity in the actual tonality of the breast feathers once you take the color away. |

Hi Lisa,
Yes, I do remember "recover" all too well. I'm attaching the full frame before the crop on the sky. |

A little straight on to the building, but it has a very nice feel to it with this composition. The blend looks natural. A couple of dust spots along the upper right edge and some grain / noise in the sky. The tops of the clouds have a look that suggests Aurora may not have given you the best ghosting result. I've run into to that myself when the edges of an object are a little soft to start with. |

Nice composition. The blend is smooth tonally but a little punchy in the greens. I would be inclined to pull at least some of the blue out of the cliff face. I could see a little in there because of the blue sky, but I think the landscape preset may have pushed the warm highlights / cool shadows a bit too hard. |

The composition is effective and the core technical elements are solid. The blend seems smooth and natural. Shade for a white balance is pushing a bit too much warmth into the water flow for me. I popped on a curve and set the white point off the bright spot just that the top of the main drop and found I liked that color rendition more. It also added a bit more punch to the contrast. |

The tonal values are very natural. I enjoy the old masters style of composition using the view through another door or window as a way to create a sense of depth in the image. Maybe trim about half of the area above the door off. It just seems too much as I view it. |
