Apologies for kibitzing on your group and image. I think the subject matter is very conducive for a nice BW image. I'm going to take a middle ground on the cropping suggesting a slight crop from both sides that will leave the lower right "crash point" of the rule of thirds directly at the apex of the cupola over the door. I have a bit of an odd way of doing some of my conversions that I throw out just for consideration. After adjusting primary white and black points, I convert with the standard BW adjustment layer and tune that with the selective control (hand) to get the basic tones the way I want them. I then drop in HSL (Hue-Saturation) adjustment layers UNDER the BW layer and use masks and the HSL Hue and Saturation controls to make targeted adjustments to the areas where I want to shift that initial conversion. That lets me push the red darker and the yellow lighter. I'm attaching an alternative version so that what I said might be a bit more clear.
Again, apologies for butting in. I'm finding a new love in monochrome and so peek in on occasion. |

I agree. Right back to trying to remember to shoot opportunities like this as a series of horizontals to build a vertical pano rather than a single vertical shot. Probably has to be at the top of my New Year's Resolutions list. |

Not those immediately under the trees but the middle set between that first group and the ones up by the bridge. If that was the way they showed in your darkest exposure, then Aurora worked as it should. My experience was that when the contrast range was very extreme, it seemed to miss on the brightest highlights and blend in an exposure that still left them clipping, which was why I ended up doing a manual blend for those sections. |

Excellent impact and an effective composition. The blend looks smooth and reflects the angularity and intensity of the lighting well. I might try burning in the one brighter building on the right edge, but that isn't a must by any stretch. Very nice job on this.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family as well. |

I think the "ribbons" direct the viewer's eye as you intended, though without your explanation I'm not sure I would have appreciated the why of it. The blend looks smooth. I can see from the sky that you had very overcast conditions but, for me, the snow covering the ribbons has gone too gray. I would be inclined to bring them up in tonal value to at least the 240's. What color space did you save this in? It has that flatish look (on my monitor) that I tend to associate with images that may have been left in something like ProPhoto. |

This one comes together quite nicely. I enjoy the multiple visual diagonals in the edge of the pond, the implied line between the pink and red bushes and the line of the buildings. Everything works up to the building with the circular roof. Very nice composition. The blend is nice and smooth. I think the angle of view you used for this is a strength for this image. |

Love the scene and your result. The blend looks very nice. Did you use the split-toning (Top-Bottom) in Aurora? I'm asking because the upper cliff and buildings look as if they have been darkened slightly and that adjustment doesn't allow for control other than raising or lowering the blend line. I would be inclined to dodge at least the buildings to let them stand out a bit more readily.Very nice job on this. The perspective really gives you a sense of the height. |

Maybe not the most dynamic of subjects, but lord do you take on some challenges. 60 images! The blend and stitching looks very solid to me. I see a bit of bow in the top lines of the two buildings and a touch of halo along the top of the left building, but nothing that has a significant impact on the shot. I might try to content-aware the pipe running into the sky on the right out. That is the only change I feel would be of any significant benefit. Great job on a very complex image. |

Very realistic blend that preserves the mood / atmosphere from the fog. The composition is effective for me. I don't mind the relatively atonal sky as that too captures a sense of the fog. The brightest water spots on the left look to be clipping a bit. I don't think it alters the effectiveness of the image but it is something I found with even Aurora 2019 on my Spokane shot and I resorted to blending in one of the darker exposures to fix it there. |
