5 Oct 20 Comment Rick,

This must have been a little nerve racking. You have great exposure and use of colors here. I love the detail in the head and thorax. The shallow DOF works well with the nest. I would like to see more sharpness in the body and wings. Getting more parallel to the bug might have helped. I hope that you didn't get stung!

5 Oct 20 Comment Nick,

I half expect Bonny and Clyde to be leaning on the posts of the porch. This is a very cool shot that time has made even more appreciated than it was when taken, I'll bet.

5 Oct 20 Comment Barbara,

I too like all of the leading lines and shapes included in this image. I think that this could work as a black and white also. The added cat looks a little two-dimensional to me. Perhaps it's because the eyes are so bright. This makes it look they are cutouts in a cardboard cat. I may try changing the sky if I can figure out a technique that works.

5 Oct 20 Reply Thanks Freddie. It reminds me of how black velvet makes silver coins so striking. Oct 5th
5 Oct 20 Comment Freddie,

Nice use of ICM. I've used it on trees, but never thought of human subjects. I was trying to figure out if these were real people or statues of some sort before I read your note. The result is rather intriguing and will inspire me to try it. Your crop is effective. Great idea and execution.

5 Oct 20 Comment Stephen,
I really like the composition. The street serves as a great leading line from foreground to background. There is a good story here with the human subject heading around the bend. It makes me want to know what is back there. Your crop is a good one getting the utility equipment out of the picture. Quaint old streets like this are fascinating and you captured this one well in my opinion.
