5 Jul 20 Reply Well done. I think I'll modify it similarly. Thanks for the idea. Jul 23rd
5 Jul 20 Comment Thanks all. I did make one version without the perch. It was ok, but I got concerned that viewers might think that this was not based on a photograph, so I left something that looked realistic in the final version. Jul 12th
5 Jul 20 Comment Top marks for imagination and creativity. Not so much for execution. I think that you were going for an idea, but were not committed to making it realistic in terms of the compositing. That is fine if your intent was strictly humor. Otherwise, you would need to shrink the bird sizes a little and blend them into the background more convincingly. I think that the feet would show through the very shallow water. Jul 12th
5 Jul 20 Comment I'm all for compositing, but it needs to be believable. For starters, given the distance from the subject, my experience tells me that the fireworks and sculptures should all be in focus. Blurring the fireworks was counterproductive in my estimation.I also think that the size of the fireworks display is too large for this scene. I give you props for the idea, especially since it is July. I think that you could rework this shot into something much better. Jul 12th
5 Jul 20 Comment I too like all of the angles created by the canal and lock. This serves as a nice frame for the building. I like that you removed the color cast from the original. Exposure is good and everything is nice and sharp. Jul 12th
5 Jul 20 Comment Stephen,

This is another wonderful photograph. The beautiful curves coming out of the corner really lead the eye through the entire image. Great color and exposure contribute to the success. Not sure about the buds. They do add some depth so perhaps darkening them might be enough.

5 Jul 20 Comment This photo, I'm guessing, shows two of the main types of transportation in this seaside town. There is definite impact as the photo immediately makes me wish I could visit a place like this. I really like the composition, which exhibits plenty of depth with foreground, midground, and background. I also like that the boat and motorcycle are at an angle creating a more dynamic image and giving us some lines to follow from front to back. Exposure is good. The color is nice as well, although this photo could equally do well as a monochrome. My only suggestion would be to add some clarity in Lightroom as the image is just a bit flat, in my view. A little more contrast in the sky might also help. I have submitted my revisions Jul 4th
5 Jul 20 Comment I would like to be original with my comments, but in this case, Oliver has stolen my thunder. I really like the look that the raccoon is giving us. That is the story, amplified by the reflected image. The narrow depth of field helps define the raccoon that otherwise might blend into the surroundings. With the color cast fixed, you have a great shot. Jul 4th

18 Jul 20 Comment I really like your idea here. Super creative and really gives the viewer lots to think about. Colors, exposure, and post processing are all very successful. Scanning through this month's page, it was impossible not to stop and take a more serious look at what your imagination brought forth. Jul 12th
