5 Apr 20 Comment I like the combination of shapes and textures. The tight crop makes this more of an abstract. Placing the circle near the corner with multiple triangles radiating from it is a nice compositional feat. Lighting and DOF are also very good. Apr 5th

5 Apr 20 Comment Thank you Stephen and Richard. Just a start to pushing my B&W skills.

5 Apr 20 Comment Oliver,
Good use of color and shape. The beautiful pottery gives the eyes a spot to land on before flitting around to examine all of the different colored flowers. Your post processing gives better contrast and saturation. My only suggestion is to try a thin vignette. Just a personal preference.

5 Apr 20 Reply I can add that the technique involves isolating the buildings on their own layer and then putting a layer filled with black below it to show through as the sky. This will require using several different tools for creating masks, all of which are amply described in the tutorial.I had come close to purchasing some expensive software designed for architecture b&w photography. Glad I waited. Apr 1st
5 Apr 20 Comment Stephen,
This is a great cityscape shot. I like your composition, lighting, and post processing. Branching out is working for you.

5 Apr 20 Comment Love it. I think that the subject lends itself well to this type of treatment. Good inspirational material for the rest of us. Well done. I can't think of ways to improve this without experimenting with the technique myself. Apr 1st
5 Apr 20 Comment Isaac,
The course I refer to is available by subscription only at kelbyone.com. Scott Kelby has done a phenomenal job of putting educational material online and I highly recommend the service.
