Steve,
Oregon waterfalls are great subjects, especially for we Texans who don't have near as many waterfalls to shoot. I like the composition with the waterfall off center and the series of curves behind it. I can see why you chose to remove the rocks, since they were cut in half by the edge, but at the same time, I like the channel they defined which leads to the base of the falls. I agree that the yellow saturation boost makes the moss look better, but you ended up imparting a yellow color cast to the whole image. I am curious as to the method you used to do this. In Lightroom, I was able to increase the yellow saturation without it affecting the whole image by using the HSL/Color panel. I also decreased the yellow luminance slightly. I used a little dehaze which boosts saturation slightly throughout. I've submitted my adjustments for your consideration. Welcome to PSA! Posted: 02/17/2020 10:05:40 |

Beautiful colors! I would use a little dehaze in Lightroom to make them pop even a little more. I agree that the stump distracts a little. A slightly different angle would have cured this. Composition is otherwise very good. I too like the sliver of face that shows. I would prefer better focus in the foreground and less so in the background. |

I like the concept. I especially like the lighting, so I think that your monolight works! I have this thing about sharpness. I would have either decreased aperture or focused slightly deeper into the scene so that all of the face of the bit was tack sharp. The word Israel starts to blur out just a bit (oops-no pun intended). |

The thought that comes to mind is that someone is grasping to hang on. A powerful emotion. The toning is great. Composition works very well. The beautiful nails seem a little incongruous, but I guess things can go badly for anyone. Congratulations on your creative thought process. |

I have to admit that I really like this. There is a great Wow factor. I had to pause a bit to figure out if this was a composite because it is well done. You caught/created a moment of peak action. Color, exposure and focus are good. I might have centered just a little bit more to the left, but that is being picky.Keep up the good work. |
