Bob, Sorry but my Ps skills limit what I could create. I get frustrated with the basics in Ps like basic adjustments (they aren't located like they are in LsC) and I can do basic blending but this requires something more and manipulation of sizes to get them aligned. |

Thanks for the positive edits and comments Bob. I like the increased saturation and taking out those white spots. This was taken before I set up a file naming system so it probably was from my Nikon Coolpix or my Nikon D100. Yes, editing was really a pain back then. BTW, I do favor Karen's treatment of the green background. |

Bob, how about using Karen's dog on a layer and see if it would blend with your almost face. |

But Karen, some of us do not know what those improvements looked like as the original is no longer posted. Anyway, The fox is a beauty with well lit head and eyes and great color in the stone above the den. Very good job. |

Judy, I really like your using the fence as a diagonal and the yellow canola background. I agree on the White House and that a textured sky is generally better than a virtually flat gray sky. |

Bob, I like the subject, your composition and the color change to warm/gold. Sorry, I'm not seeing the face other than the two nuts as eyes, a very distorted nose. Then the spoke to the bottom left and top left spoke going to the corner and that is where the face gets lost. If I had the vision to make a face, I would use a smudge or blur tool or motion twirl to make an abstract with a hint of a face. |

Hi Ron. Great job masking the eyes and capturing "The Mood" with a creative edit. I'm not really bothered by the light fur between the ears.

Hi Pete. Thanks for stopping by and giving your comments. However, on my monitor the background is slightly darker than the leaves around the flower. So I sorta agree with you except I'm not seeing it. I'll have to check out your page to see if your monitor is off color. |

Thanks Doug. I missed that those. Just need to make changes to the background by removing or brushing lower tones. |

Thank you Nadia for your positive comments. However, I really use Ps for Creative elements that are not available in Lightroom. I know what Curves do but rarely use it. It just frustrates me in Ps when virtually no adjustment is easily located and works the same as Lightroom. While my learning for details, filters and effects continues to grow or hold steady, my learning processes is very painful as I have to stop the video and write down the next step etc. All caused by the short-term memory malfunction. That's why I enjoy the creative editing because it is outcome based and not following certain steps. I use blending modes but with certain results in mind. I recently tried to do a PS edit, like painting with a normal brush, and had forgotten, because it was not learnt properly. I'm happy and comfortable with my current work and strive to keep up. Adobe has helped so very much with their selection tools and presets and others that I can't remember at this time. Keep up with your good work Nadia. |

Rich, I Love your creating the shoot trough above. I Love the violet and green combinations on the main flower and the bright portion of the main flower . If it were mine and I had the flowers growing in NH, I know not reasonable, and this wasn't for a PSA Nature combination, I'd use the remove tool to take the small bright violet and make it darker or whatever Ai comes up with. I also would make the top corners darker by toning darker or removing. And use the remove tool to get rid of the white areas in your original. Great seeing when you are able to get this kind of results when shooting trough. |

I also thought it was extremely Creative and unique. How about using a picture of a child of yours or a childhood image and get it printed and hung with your best. That's the extent of my suggestions. Just fantastic. |

Doug, I think the composition with the green stripes works very well. I think the background color should be brought down to the green of the stripes. Good luck with mastering that Lensbaby depth of field. I think it's the opposite of your focus stacking with sharpness throughout, whereas the Lensbaby Velvet needs good eyesight and practice as to where the areas of softness will look the best or where you intended. I note the sharpness of the yellow petal "tooths" in the frontal right of center and the green stripes being sharp. Possible to have the yellows of the front below the sharp teeth and area beyond the rear stripe to be more out of focus? And thereby not causing the viewer to think that you just missed the sharp focus. I'm not being critical, but thinking like most non Lensbaby viewers. I'd appreciate your comments as you work thru this. Where did you find this 1 in a million tulip? |

Nadia, Rich said it perfectly, you are the master of custom backgrounds that enhance your flowers. I don't have any suggestions, other than to bring in your flowers for the winter.???? |

Marti, this is one of those rescues that will go down in history. A fantastic job of seeing well and making it happen with your post. I generally look for backlite and translucent parts. I rarely am happy with Yellow as they generally just don't have the pop & saturation that you have found and created here. I've never taken the approach of removing most/all of each color from the original. Fantastic Job. |

Thanks Ingrid for your comments, as I commented on Rich's I'll have to work on this. Much of the composition depends on other lily's in the background and under my feet. As you are probably aware, Day Lily's only bloom for 1 day so it's a matter of working the composition to get the best shot. |

Rich, I appreciate your thoughts and value your suggestions. I'll have to work on changing my workflow as once I start changing colors in the background that requires multiple other changes. The color bleed at the end of the flower is caused by using the flower mask on top of the motion zoom mask. |
